I did. The difference is I enjoyed learning how dead people's brains worked to explain science, history, produce art. I didn't give shit or have any emotional reaction to the teacher talking about the dead people's discoveries, unless she was hot or unless the lecturer was talking about research he himself had done a few decades earlier. I suspect you and the majority of students don't care about dead historical figures, and paid far too much attention to the teachers and lecturers themselves, letting them "inspire" you, rather than treating them like google search engines, and that's why you were subsequently brainwashed by their idiocy.
