But they don't sadly. If they had an airforce that would be like shooting fish in a barrel.
This is so insane – Putin's strategic goal is to bring Ukraine back into Russia's orbit. What do they think will happen to these children when they grow up? After their formative experience of hiding in the bomb shelters from Russian missiles while their fathers and sometimes mothers guard the entrances with their lives? Will they want to be anywhere near the Russian orbit, to be subservient to Russians or to be their friends? Will they fuck.
Ukraine don't have an air force. Gone on Day 1. Hope the EU/UK are getting land to land missiles to Ukraine post-haste.But they don't sadly.
You'd also think there is a lot of anti aircraft artillery in that convoy.. but it's Russia, so who knows.
That's sad. But I doubt any of that is Putin's objective. He just wants Ukraine's resources and couldn't care less about the people or human cost.
Sorry Rurik but that's a little inaccurate. I was reading about their resources this week as a reason for Putin's covetousness (Ukraine acting as a NATO buffer aside) :As a Ukrainian, I’m pretty sure you’re wrong here. We have next to nothing in terms of resources, certainly nothing so valuable to provoke this existential struggle. It’s all about the people, actually - not just Ukrainians, but also not allowing Russians to think a democracy could ever work for them.

From Ukraine's own Govt agency : Ukraine has extremely rich and complementary mineral resources in high concentrations and close proximity to each other. The country has abundant reserves of coal, iron ore, natural gas, manganese, salt, oil, graphite, sulfur, kaolin, titanium, nickel, magnesium, timber, and mercury.
Businessweek
Economy, resources, and the fight to lay claim to the abundant rare earth elements that Ukraine is immensely rich of are the reasons to influence the country’s political leanings.
Oil and Gas
Ukraine today holds the second-biggest known gas reserves in Europe, excluding Russia’s gas reserves in Asia, albeit largely untapped. When it comes to its natural gas, it has about 1.09 trillion cubic meters, which is an unimaginable amount. But to give you an idea, it’s enough to be stretched around the earth many times. This is second only to Norway’s known resources of 1.53 trillion cubic meters.

Salt n pepper chips sounds more appealing90% of the world's neon too. And you need that for chips. Look at what we did to Ireland with what they needed for chips.
Dominique Reynié: "We found Gazprom funding in particular in environmental NGOs which provided ministers to certain European countries such as Belgium and which then embarked on a sort of backlash by defending the exit from nuclear."
Yup.Every country in Europe has been taken in by Russian money and that's set up the sweet spot for all this bullshit. Last night of the gazproms.
Yup.
There's going to a be a very large hit taken by banks and all the various legal and accounting cunts who help move the Russian money.
No, those banks have been subject to AML and KYC regulations for years. All the regulatory paperwork will be in order and they will demonstrate that all guidelines were followed at all relevant times that may or may not have occurred. The check box will be ticked, I'd like to see you stand up in court and claim the box wasn't ticked, when the tick will be there in the box for everyone to see. Good luck.
Who's this? There's a new sheriff in town though
Yea like that Natwest branch taking in a million quid a week cash from a jeweller. Nothing funny to see here. All good.
