WWIII Return of the Ruskie

What options do NATO and the west have when a country with nukes goes on the march?

Genuine question.

I mean they can support with air strikes and arm a resistance, but it all seems way too late for that now. Ukraine simply won't exist as we know it by next week and it's going to rapidly develop into humanitarian crisis.

Should more have been done over the years to reinforce their defence?

Did you mean me? I’m in New York and to be honest feel guilty and useless as fuck while my relatives and friends are literally defending their homeland with Kalashnikovs.

Just buy yellow and blue lightbulbs for your house.

If NATO can't do a fucking thing what can you do ?

Yes, I think it’s now becoming apparent that far from being a deterrent to use of force, nukes basically gives bad actors a carte-blanche to do as they please, as long as it doesn’t involve another nuclear power. The chilling thought is Russia won’t be the only country that will now start abusing their neighbors in this way.

Sorry you're feeling this way ... stay strong and hopefully your family, and nation, come out of this ok.

Yup, was going to say Ukraine is now the domino ... if it falls ...

An assassination is the best value for money option that I can see in the bargain basement woke dollar discount defence store the western economies have reduced themselves to shopping at.

What are they going to say about it, nothing, not after they blew that afghan translator and a dozen members of his family to pieces a few months ago because biden had his fweelings hurt by the press cycle.

Who mentioned Biden? You're obsessed.

The election of Biden is the direct cause of this thread, and the future thread on Taiwan, and the previous thread on Israel, and the other one on Afghanistan. I'm obsessed, wow, do I get a cookie? Don't see how that should bother me. Your problem is you're deluded which is something that should bother you.

It's just poor analysis.
We'd get the serious stuff if the real dantes - @monsieurdantes - graced us with his presence more.

What do you want to analyse? Unless it's the financial transactions, then you're wasting your time on meaningless feelings based drivel to fill up newspapers, that explains nothing, predicts nothing, solves nothing, and is so vague in its interpretation that you end up debating in perpetuity with other idiots spouting their own drivel.

Man obsessed proves he's obsessed by going on about his obsession.

Obsession is a virtue in the context of solving difficult problems. Standing in solidarity is a virtue signal in the context of making a clusterfuck of a simple problem.

If you think Putin's move here is just because of Biden, you're saying openly "I'm not that bright guys - but I'm trying"

You haven't solved shit dude. I don't just mean on this particular subject either.

Well, the subject I had in mind was modelling financial asset prices, which I'm sure you understand is impossible given how many unbelievably smart people have come nowhere near cracking, because it's impossible, well, but for the fact I solved it, so, yeah, sorry to disappoint you.

When you open a tap, the direct cause of water coming out is you opening the tap. No need for rocket science. If you're the one to blame for electing to open the tap, and wish to delude yourself that the cause of the water coming out is actually a complex interaction of gravitational and electromagnetic forces, of the pipe geometry, can't possibly predict it without a phd in fluid mechanics, and the viscosity, the upstream pressure, and no use even trying to solve the navier-stokes equation for such a complex system, yeah go ahead, I wouldn't call that being bright myself.

Big words.
Comparing a tap to a ~25 year process.
Big words.
Talking about a tap and not mentioning beer.
Yah, type on.
