World Cup of the Damned

I hope with all the upheaval at LFC that Klopp doesn't think that its time to retire/take a break from club football and take over Germany

Both Belgium and Germany deserve to go out. Musiala is a great talent but tonight he has been extremely frustrating. Showing that he’s 19.

Clever move by Spain coming 2nd and getting Morocco and not Croatia.

Can't see Klopp as an international manager. He builds his success on a strongly bonded playing squad ... He won't get that with an ever changing panel of players who get together every few months.

Make your own minds up but what I will say is that the pen Szszceny saved from Messi, his feet were exactly where the ball was (on the other side of the line of course) and it was fine.

The whole foot/ball has to be off/over the line....which it wasn't.

Intuitively, I've always thought it should be the centre of the ball that counts

But the whole ball rule has been applied everywhere for the longest time, and is a consistent manner so I have no issues with it. The technology seems pretty accurate too.

Agent Trent is on the case!

Yep, 1934 WC was always under suspecision for being heavily influenced by Mussolini from the off.

Those early years - sure but I cannot remember the last world cup where they got really dodgy beneficial calls for them (some may say the Australia penalty - to me that was at worst, a 50/50 call)

If this was on the goal line is it a goal or not...?

I believe goal line technology would have given it as a goal
