I get where oncy is coming from to a degree, but martinez doesn't have a habit of blaming everyone but his players when results don't go his way.

Fergie does the cunts game of winding up the refs and making sure they know that he's watching them (the 2010 Drogba thing?), so thy don't cross him.


It's also a joke that man uniteds chief exec is on the board of the FA. If that was the situation of any club it'd be well fucking dodgy.

But as sure as the season change, nothing will happen. 'arry tapping up players, Fergie criticising refs, pulis/allerdyce tactic of kicking the shit out of the opposition. None of it punished and never will be.

Do other managers come out with the level of shite Ferguson does? No. Would they be asked to explain themselves if they did? Yes. Will Ferguson? No.

But a thread isn't started every time he speaks is it? They're generally started when he does something out of order which any other manager would get pulled up about. It's a fair debating point which soon generates into farce because people start accusing people of being tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorists, not knowing what they're talking about or labelling them as embarrassing or tragic. That's a shame and a trait that's become all to common on here over the last few years. That's not just directed at you btw.

I can only disagree mate.
Every single press conference he gives SOMETHING is analyzed and regurgitated on here.
Its a shame is all.
Maybe MAYBE he does affect their results.
Im more concerned about our results.
Eventually liverpool fans will be like Everton fans and be happy beating them twice a year and winning fuck all.
Thats how it feels to me at least.

I really don't think it's that bad or I can't say I've noticed it to that degree. We've become Everton anyway - a shitty midtable team and tantalising the fans with big name signings that'll never happen.
 
Oncy is right to bring it up. There's no discussion to be had in threads like this. The same tired insults will be thrown at him, the same points get made.

We all think he's a twat. We all know everyone thinks he's a twat. There's nowhere for it go.

United are our biggest rivals, why wouldn't we be monitoring press conferences from their manager closer than those of Wigan, QPR etc?

I feel as though I should apologise for thinking ferguson is a manipulating hypocritical bully, who uses his, and his clubs influence at the FA to, basically say what he likes, immune from censure.

If you go on any United forum you'll find they do their fair share of commenting on Liverpool, and that's us being no threat to them whatsover.

It's just the way fans are, they'll focus on their own team first and foremost but also discuss other teams.
 
RedCafe have threads (constantly active threads, might I add) on Suarez, Rodgers and RAWK. Now THAT'S a fixation.

Put it this way - It will be interesting to see what happens with the fallout from his comments. At the very least he should receive some sort of reprimand. I've yet to see how Gill at the FA has benefitted Utd so far. That's not to say he won't in the future but in the here and now nothing untoward has happened. This will probably be the first time that question gets raised. In that respect this thread is of genuine interest despite what Oncy thinks imo. I think Sunny's point is pretty indicative really in that it's got to the point where it's a shrug of the shoulders and an acceptance that the old twat will get away with it. That shouldn't stop us from questioning it.

Just to stir the pot a little further - I see Darren Ferguson has returned (along with his custom Utd loan signings) to Peterborough Utd. If anything that whole sordid affair deserves more serious scrutiny.

If they do as often and get away with it as often then I'd imagine you would see a thread. The fact is no other manager does it that much so we don't bring it up.
 
In fairness, Ferguson does seem to get away with more, but when was the last time anyone listened regularly to say Pulis' press conferences?
