Wolves (A) VERY OFFICIAL MATCH THREAD

that was woeful and limp. watching Mascherano and Gerrard overhit pass after pass and Lucas was a passenger yet no Aquilani? absolutely ridiculous, why don't we show any more urgency than that? does this team want to play in the UEFA cup?

Wolves are totally average

I thought the Greek did well

Rafa's post match interview will be the usual.
We had good commitment, we controlled the game, we worked very hard.
Blah, blah, blah.

What do you want him to say Stu?

Yeah, we were shit, I'm fucking off to Juve?

Fark - be honest, what's more enjoyable - watching liverpool or one of your vegetables grow?
I went out to the garden the other day to check on my artichokes. Artichokes are fucking expensive to buy and take years to grow. Three years in they are now starting to actually produce hearts, and I was excited to check on their progress.

A gopher ate the tap root of my largest artichoke, so the whole plant, which is about the size of a easy chair, was instead deflated to the size of a shoebox, pale and dead on the ground.

I set a choke trap and killed that gopher, and all gophers producing mounds within about 50ft of my garden.

Both are chores, but it is more exciting to find a dead gopher in a trap than it is to watch football right now for me.

no aqualini. the trouble with rafa is he doesn't allow players to build momentum, he uses them like chess peices.
that's not true -

he gave Crouch a chance, he gave Kuyt his chance, he gave Lucas his chance, he gave Yossi his chance, he even gave Morientes his chance

I'd like him to be honest and not make the same lame excuses.
I'd like him to give one or two players a rocket. Something is needed.

I am sick of seeing a half fit Gerrard play, I said earlier I didn't want us to rush him back, he's not flipping Superman. We've got Aquliani who is fit, why not stick with the same line up as we had against Spurs, why play an unfit player, we were toothless going forward. Aquilani would have created some openings at least.
If it was not so sad it would be fucking laughable. Same old story, Aqualani has his best game for us and ends up on the bench.

The one substitution was a fucking joke too, I thought Albert looked our most dangerous player,

I am trying my best to stay fairly respectful to Rafa, but it is becoming harder and harder, I hope Juve are serious.

For once, yes. Yes I would.

He's the manager and he'll do what he thinks is right. As a fan though, right now, I don't care about any of that... I want an explanation for that. A proper one.

Didn't Keane have the same issue?

What a waste of a brilliant talent ...

Unbelievably shit. Insua the worst player on the pitch. Gerrard doesn't look like he gives a shit, clearly not 100% so shouldn't be starting especially after Aqua had decent game last week. I'm actually so pissed off its unbelievable. Pathetic "performance". Rarely tried to take the ball down just hoof after fucking hoof, ball in the air or bouncing for most of the match. Just pathetic

I really don't like that City can be 6 points a head of us if they win their two games in hand.

No, Keane was sit anyway and rarely influenced the game. Aquilani on the other hand has been our best player in the last two games as far as I'm concerned, all offensive moves have come from him. And Rafa decides to leave him out, we were starved of any creativity today and he still didn't bring him on. Why not? Seriously? Why can't he see what we can.

I dont know what it is about away games but we really come down to the oppositions level. the amount of points we drop against shit sides at the bottom is a joke, we give them belief

Benitez should stop worrying about trying to win a tactical battle with the likes of Mick McCarthy. The players in these games seem more concerned with their instructions than playing good football

*hugs Mr. Quiff*

I think my Saturday morning team could beat us at the minute...so many unforced errors...shots off-target...misplaced passes...hoofing when we had time on the ball. Whereas before our star men were inspiring our 'workers', now the opposite effect is happening and the players with less talent are dragging the quality ones down with them. I just want him gone enough is enough...

the truth is rafa is at his best when he has nothing to lose and throws caution to the wind. when he is given time and options he thinks the situation to death and will more often than not ere on the side of caution.
truth is if this were an all or nothing game to decide 4th place would rafa have only used 1 sub? obviously not, he would also take moe chances in the game so what's the difference now? oh, that's right, there's PLENTY of time to secure the points needed.

not any more theres not, we beat Spurs last week and we are still 3 points beheind them, city winning their games in hand would go 6 points clear, there is no more room to manouvre now, we are 4th favourites to get the last Champions League place, if Rafa still thinks there is plenty of games to experiment with his formation and tactics then he is even more deluded than many of us believed. 4th is the minimum requirement for a Liverpool manager, it now looks like even that is beyond Rafa

Sad , but true, although realistically we were out of the running for fourth place weeks ago, I can't see us finishing in the top seven at the moment, I think at this rate Villa will finish above us as well.

I really do hope Rafa leaves soon. Regardless of what he does from here on in, he no longer has the ear of the players. They seem to be immune to what he is telling them, and a change of manager would be best for all concerned.

Not sure about that Oncy. Seems to me like they are doing too much of what he's telling them
