I really do hope Rafa leaves soon. Regardless of what he does from here on in, he no longer has the ear of the players. They seem to be immune to what he is telling them, and a change of manager would be best for all concerned.
Not sure about that Oncy. Seems to me like they are doing too much of what he's telling them
In that case ignore the second and third sentences and just stick with the first.
You have my full backing on that one as and from tonight.

I am sick of seeing a half fit Gerrard play, I said earlier I didn't want us to rush him back, he's not flipping Superman. We've got Aquliani who is fit, why not stick with the same line up as we had against Spurs, why play an unfit player, we were toothless going forward. Aquilani would have created some openings at least.
If it was not so sad it would be fucking laughable. Same old story, Aqualani has his best game for us and ends up on the bench.

The one substitution was a fucking joke too, I thought Albert looked our most dangerous player,

I am trying my best to stay fairly respectful to Rafa, but it is becoming harder and harder, I hope Juve are serious.

regards
The same could be said for Degen. WHo has easily had his best two games for us. And watching Carragh play these days is making me sick. Hoof hoof Hooof Hooof Hoooooof Hooooooof. fuck off.

rafa dropped aqua and degen because he didn't think think they'd be up for a scrap so instead with with 'solidity'. rafa and gh are like peas in a pod in that they lower themselves to the level of the oppersition, trading blows instead picking players we aren't as tough but have far more skill.

Wolves 0-2 West ham
Wolves 0-1 Portsmouth
Wolves 1-1 Hull
Wolves 1-4 Arsenal

why did he think t was gonna be a scrap though? Wolves are not like Stoke or Bolton. They at least try to play football

"If you analyse our position in the table, then maybe (it was two points dropped)," he said. "If you analyse the game then it was fair enough. In the first half we were in control. We didn't create clear chances and the final pass in the final third was the difference.

"In the second half they were pushing harder and we had to defend, but we still had some good counter attacks. Again the final pass was the difference. If you analyse the game, then the result is fair.

"To have a clean sheet is good and another positive after the last four or five games.

"We went close but you have to score if you want to win. In the first-half they had one chance on the counter attack. We had two or three situations around the box. In the first minute we had a very good opportunity, but credit to them because they were pushing very, very hard."

On a frustrating night for the Reds, Benitez was keen to look for positives and revealed that he had been buoyed by the return to action of Steven Gerrard following a hamstring injury, while new signing Maxi Rodriguez also came through his first 90 minutes in English football.

"We know that Steve is a key player for us and clearly he has to work on his match fitness because you can see the difference when he is fully fit," he said.

"Maxi was good in possession. He played the 90 minutes and could see the difference between the Spanish league and this one."

He added: "We have been missing Gerrard, Torres, Johnson, Yossi and Agger - they have all been good players this year and we have missed them. If Gerrard has the match fitness needed, he can train properly in the week, play games and make the difference."

Asked why Alberto Aquilani was an unused substitute after starting in the win over Spurs, Benitez added: "The team was doing well. Today the decision was to play Gerrard or him. Gerrard has the power and can go forward and change games. He can support the striker in a different way.

"During the game it was very physical and the ball was always in the air. It would have been difficult to bring on a player for 15-20 minutes and keep the ball on the ground. We preferred to continue with the players we had because we were defending well and were a threat on the counter attack."

With the January transfer window set to close next Monday, the boss was also quizzed about any potential targets.

He said: "There is not too much time. We are working and analysing things but it is not easy. In the market there are not too many players available and if there are, they are expensive. At this moment, we are continuing to work and we will see."

Rafael Benitez said: "Alberto Aquilani delivers a better final ball than Xabi Alonso".

Rafael Benitez is crazy.

The football in this game was like dividing by zero.

Lucas is the first time I've actually seen a team have a sinecure. Mascherano is a midfield MIRV, occasionally likely to cause friendly damage. The team was crying out for someone with half a brain for a pass, and we fucking left him on the bench. I'm sure Rafa has some logic there, I'm sure it's internally consistent, I'm positive it's stupid.

We play counterattacking football with what might be the slowest team in England. It makes no fucking sense. I can't bring myself to fully care, even though we are drifting toward real mid table mediocrity. What's the point when nothing is going to change for the foreseeable future?

I don't get it. What kind of man is buoyed by good counter-attacking against fucking Wolves. It has to be more than that, why can't we set out to y'know, win or something.

Unfortunately, we didn't get the man advantage this time.

^^^^^^^^

Rafa probably loved that Alonso was getting all those reds against him also

Fark - be honest, what's more enjoyable - watching liverpool or one of your vegetables grow?

One of them goes faster than the other at least. Answers on a napkin.

there you have it, finding dead gophers is more exciting than watching Liverpool play ... bring on Jose.
Sometimes I get really big gophers, and sometimes little ones.

Sometimes the gophers involuntarily pee themselves when their spine is snapped/they are asphyxiated to death.

I'm really good at catching gophers. One of the reasons why is if a trap doesn't catch anything after a couple days, I change its location. I don't put it back in the same place and claim that it was controlling the gopher mound.

Even if it's a fully committed trap?

Yep, even if it has the right attitude, and when I test it before hand it shows a lot of energy snapping shut.

Would that be like changing from zonal trapping to trap to gopher trapping?
