Alot more fight and determination again mate, better passing, some good movement in the final third and Meireles' strike was sublime.
More solid in defence and better in attack, we countered well throughout, defending and attacking as a team and in numbers.

Surprisingly, despite Lucas and Poulsen, we were quite good. Passed the ball well for a change. Meireles ran the show, and Torres put in good effort throughout. Played very well in the first half and went in with a 1-0. Second half, Wolves came back strongly (Jarvis on the left was pretty good) but we held out and Meireles scored a superb second goal. Wolves brought on Hammill who looked quite lively but we weathered a 10-15 minute storm, and finished it off with a goal in the dying moments.
First goal - Torres held it up and laid it off for Poulsen. Poulsen played an excellent through ball down the right hand side of the field sending Meireles clear. Meireles unselfishly dragged it back in to Torres who finished with a well taken tap-in.
Second goal - punt up the field towards (Kuyt I think), ball lobbed up in the air for Meireles who smacked it in from 25 yards with a stunning first time volley.
Third goal - towards the end of the game, ball by Johnson sent Kuyt free on the left wing. Kuyt ran into the box (and into a defender) and sort of fucked it up. But the ball fell for Torres, who swept it into the net with his left peg.

Its not an awful team if KD gets them playing like that. Pressing high up the pitch, LFC midfielders hunting in packs and an away win. Even Roy didn't do that.

I'll hold my hand up and say I agreed with Tony's view that it was both a poor team lacking creativity and that we'd get no more than a draw at best.

Agreed.
Even a weak squad can play decent football with the proper tactics and formation.
NOw if Kenny can get some quality in we could be back sooner than later.
