Kenny Dalglish's latest attempt to renew his Midas Touch takes him to a place steeped in old gold.

Golden oldie Dalglish has seldom glittered at Molineux over the years, with hosts Wolves unbeaten at home to Liverpool in the last three decades. Dalglish suffered three defeats and a draw on his last four visits during his playing days.

His current record as Liverpool's manager is no more impressive, with the Reds winless in three matches since he was brought in to stabilise the club following Roy Hodgson's dismissal. Nonetheless, captain Steven Gerrard has spoken this week of his desire to keep King Kenny in power beyond his initial five-month appointment.

It is easy to understand why, given Dalglish's incredible success as a player and manager in a 13-year period with Liverpool. His return has brought a feel-good factor, but a repeat of former glories currently seems an unrealistic proposition.

Likewise for Wolves, who are second bottom. However, they have won half of their previous eight league matches and accounted for Manchester City and Chelsea at Molineux this season. They are targeting their first league double over Liverpool since 1950, having provided the nadir of Liverpool's season with a 1-0 win at Anfield after Christmas.

We need something, I wouldn't play Soto though and Wilson & Agger are both left footers, which might be an issue. I'd have worries over playing Cole central too, we'd get overran in midfield and he's played shite there so far anyway. My biggest issue is still Glen Jo at left back, while Maxi doesn't really deserve to play.

There is a lot of questionmarks that's for sure mate. Cole seems to have played a blinder midweek for Reserves and Wilson was praised as well. Perhaps it's to early with the latter but I'm not too worried about Cole. We need him.

Maxi surely hasn't convinced of late either but I'm still hoping he gets better as we start to want to dominate possession in games again.
 
It might be me overcomplicating, but I wouldn't have agger and wilson together (at least not initially). Too similar. One of them with the greek or kelly.

Wolves have been doing okay lately and we've been shite away. We desperatly need a win, and will be right down there in relegation battle if we lose. Yet again.

I'm already nervous about this one.

Any midfield of ours minus Gerrard is pretty shit so there is good reason to be fearful.
