YESSSSSS!
This is an impressive win in a potential banana skin.
VvD is an unbelievable player. Best CB in the world.
Salah was great. Especially when moved to the right wing.
Alisson so assured again.
Hendo and Fabinho controlled the MF.
Very happy.

I think you have to make allowance for the conditions. It's hard to play neat and tidy football when the rain is pouring down.

Yeah, both teams committed an ungodly number of technical errors. It was hard to control a football with all this water everywhere.

I think this is a good enough time to praise Pep Ljinders. Some fans went all wobbly over the departure of Buvac, but, whisper it, Pep IMHO might actually be an upgrade. Buvac focused on the general pattern of play; Ljinders looks more at the fine details. I worried when he came back about what we'd lose and win in terms of his overall contribution, because he was so good at working one on one with the transition kids from the Academy to the first XI, but he now seems a great micro-coach. Since he came back, we are much more prepared for options at corners and free kicks, and we have other rehearsed moves that suggest much more preparation. That's partly down to Klopp himself, of course, but Pep really is making an impact.

Not to mention the really hard pressing Wolves were implementing. They were a tough team. Understandable the other top teams have struggled against them.

Virgil is so good its not even fair anymore.
Best CB in the World. Easy.

There was a moment around the 80th min mark I think where one of their attackers was running into space over on our left side with us short at the back. I was panicking because VVD was just jogging back... I needn't have. He somehow caught up without breaking stride and just took the ball off him.

I really didn't realise he was this good before we signed him and in his first few games, I didn't see this level of performance in him. Consistently too.

Mind you, he'd just come back from a long term injury.

Another 2 CFs today in his pocket. Against Troare, he let him run and shoot wildly from tight angles knowing his quality was pure speed and to twist and turn.

And against Jiminez, he just bullied him off the ball like he was a small child.

Such intelligence, such skill, such grace. It's kind of like when we were watching Suarez. But only at the back.

VvD looks at times like Gulliver in Lilliput.

Fantastic win against a decent team in difficult weather conditions. VVD immense.

Only downside for me was Keita but he stilled showed enough glimpses to be patient.

He looks injured to me. Doesn't move very freely at the moment.

I think he's still having back issues to be honest. It's not the same driving Keita I saw at RB Leipzig.
