We're too well-mannered. Whenever a team does make a point of bringing out the ball boys and the huge beach towels for throw ins, I really think we should insist on the same service - it's in the rules. Bobby seemed to be getting used to his number 10 role. He did plenty of nifty half turns that opened up alot of space for us to run into. He didn't do much of that earlier this season. I thought he was lively and worked very hard.

Yep. Obviously it's very important we don't lose the ball when we get into the opposition's half / final third and, Mane aside yesterday, we have the players with the technical ability to hold onto it and play it around, until they attempt the final pass. Players such as Fabinho, Keita, Salah, Mane (on form) and especially Bobby.

I do think we are trying to be too intricate in the opposition's penalty box, too many short, tight, passes which rarely result in space and a goal. City tend to play it around the box (which creates a little more space) and then thread through a killer pass and/or cut back from a runner to the line, I wish we did more of that as Fabinho & Salah showed with our first goal it's slamost impossible to defend against when played at pace.

If you expand it to the last 10 seasons you will find that the two teams that didn't go on to win it was Liverpool

Actually I think he played pretty well. Definitely he was the one holding their defence together.

I turned on the radio this afternoon and heard that idiot Adrian Durham arguing that VVD actually had a poor match and isn't really that good a defender. There's an amusing sense of desperation about that kind of coverage. People are beginning to worry about us.
