"Advanced talks with Barca" ... They, and Real, can fuck off. 65 million euros? Having a fucking laugh.

Not for 65m euros, maybe 65m euros and Sanchez but Barca just like Real can fuck right off

If we're talking 70/80m POUNDS then he'll go. That offer is laughable, though.

If he leaves, we drop out of the top four and do nothing in the champions league, he's our only world class player, we need him more than any money.

"It’s said that the Uruguay international’s Liverpool contract, signed in December, contains a release clause of €85m, but that is lowered by €20m if Barcelona or Real Madrid are the buying club."

would we have given him this clause ? i doubt it , surely madrid would be the ones you want to fleece , not help out .

He might have demanded that clause as a condition for him signing the contract. I hope he stays, but if he does leave I'll not be as angry as I was last summer. If he leaves we'll not be anywhere near the team we were last season. However he's the main reason for our fantastic season - he made us challenge for the title and almost won it for us, so I guess he stood by any promise he'd made.

He might have demanded that clause
What clause?

[article=http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/378938/No-way-out-Luis-Suarez-CONFIRMS-no-release-clause-in-his-Liverpool-contract]But when asked in Barcelona whether his new contract contained a clause which would allow him to join either of the La Liga duo, Suarez confirmed no such stipulation exists.

"No, no, not as far as I am aware. There is no clause that suggests a priority for a specific team," Suarez revealed.[/article]

The one RZ quotes in his post above mine with the discount for Barca and Real

IF it exists...

the same suarez who believed his contract allowed him to leave for 40m last summer ? 🙂

but no , that comment was just from that article , who knows if there is any truth in it , hopefully not .

Obviously him leaving would only be a bad thing, but if we HAVE to sell him, we should be getting closer to the £100million mark really.

Putting in a clause for less than Bale went for would have been a bit silly.

Barca is falling apart and we're growing. He's not an idiot.

I do agree with the first part.. however Suarez despite being a world class player.. and arguably the best player in the world right now*, is not the brightest spark in the park, as the last transfer window proved...

If Real Madrid come in then he'll prob want to leave. If we get offered some insane money then it'll likely happen I guess.

This is being reported by the Daily Mail, the Express and a few other papers.

If the Moreno process has taught us anything that means they have all independently verified the accuracy if the information so it must be true.

And it doesn't matter if Ian Ayre comes out and says it's rubbish.

Say goodbye lads

Just to back up my point a little further, the odds on 'Luis' being the most popular name for babies hhave been slashed to 20/1 on.
