Talk of him falling out with Rodgers, him being told to defend properly and being benched/dropped more than once.

Is he a goner?

I wouldn't be surprised if Roma/Barca make a bid in January and he's off. I worry that we'll end up selling him on the cheap.

It's funny not good enough for us but just right for the likes Barca, Roma, napoli.
We'll be laughingstocks

Don't know, don't care.

Along with Johnson he's arguably the most over rated player by Liverpool fans.
Don't really get it either...maybe it's cause he's so wonderful on the ball and has YNWA tattooed on his arm.

For all the stick Skrtel(it's sometimes justified tbf) he hasn't shown he can deliver consistently for us.

I voted yes, but couldn't give two arses if we sold him. He's not exactly great, and if the money is right he can go. I'd expect Skrtel is favourite out of the two to go though.

I like him as a player.

Howeve when you think about our strongest teams they have always had a strong centre back partnership. Agger or Skertl have never been able to hold down a place in the team and form a lasting partnership. No matter which manager they have played under they have always been in and out of the team due to one thing or another. To me it suggests that they have had a fair chance at Liverpool and we should be looking to move them both out sooner rather than later and work forming a solid pairing.

I actually think he'll leave come January. A lot of money has been offered in the past and it may be about the same now as he's at least not too injury prone anymore.

With Sakho also being a left-footer and a costly one at that, Rodgers have probably paved the way.

Yeah i'd go with that too.

Neither of them are consistent enough to display the quality that they're still here for on a weekly basis

Barca don't have that much money - and they're desperate for a CB (even though they have a bloody good young 'un in Batra (sp?)). They'll bid 15-20 million and we'll sell him.

I think Sakho at 23 is light years of where Agger was at 23 - and he'll be dominating defensively within the year.

I'd bin Skittles in the Summer (Rafa shuld have a lot of money as he'll finish top 3) and he can have him for 15-20 million. Get in Ashley Williams and we're set ... I kid I kid.

If people read that interview Rodgers did, he doesn't once mention Agger, he says he knows his qualities and then goes on to explain fairly honestly why he felt we needed a bit more leadership/presence in there. Everyone said he made a scapegoat of Skrtel last year and that his days were numbered (when he said he felt we needed to be more vocal), look at him now.

And a point that's been conveniently missed is that he played yesterday. I bet there's no one interviewing Rodgers today asking why he chose to play Agger instead of Toure/Sakho. And if he came out with a response about wanting a bit more elegance in there or whatever, I'm sure that would be equally turned against someone.

This is probably true, but people seem to be going overboard because he's one of the latest fall guys, it happens, a season's a long time.

We'll be laughingstocks

There's plenty of players over there who would be a laughing stock over here. Remember Dossena? Mascherano became a centre back for Barca such was the difference in their game. He'd have been murdered as a centre back in the Premiership.

Agger probably would be a success over there, because his technical attributes arguably outweigh his defensive ones. He'd get away with that at Barca in a less physical, possession based league. Him and Skrtel both continue to show why they've not quite hit the heights or fulfilled their potential, by putting in inconsistent performances and failing to hold down a place, not just under Rodgers remember, even your beloved Rafa was indecisive about which one to play.
