Why are English supporters the most pitiful in world football?

God you're posting some hysterical shite Ryan. - The BBC's news sites (not the sport, or the football page, the fucking homepage of the news site) is leading with English fans fighting in Lille

This is the BBC homepage, the news page has a small article lower down the page which says "police fire tear gas at fans in Lille". It's not English fan specific and most of the article content was posted earlier on in this thread. It's not "leading" with any story about English fans, so stop making shit up.

Fans are being dickheads and have been throughout the tournament, not just English fans, and people DO give a fuck if you bother your arse to read what people are posting, instead of being a bigoted, condescending cunt. What you just posted there about the BBC News page is blatant bullshit, anyone go onto a link to the BBC News homepage and READ it.

We don't need people to fabricate articles that aren't there to tell us that a minority of wankers are letting decent fans down, but then we don't need some idiot calling "us" a disgrace either with a sweeping insult. You're fucking pathetic.

Homepage of BBC UK news right now is leading with "Police fire tear gas at fans in Lille".

It's not a "fabrication" Mark. If I knew how to fucking print screen and share on here I would.

Speaking of "fabrication" - where did you get the quote from me from yesterday which I asked you to back up?

Which quote? That you're constantly referring to a group of dickheads as "you" when talking to English posters on here? It's there in loads of your posts in this thread. READ THE THREAD. People have repeatedly said they don't excuse what some English thugs are doing over there. They're not fans, they're idiots that aren't exclusive to this country nor any reflection of English people, however much you want to believe and push that agenda.

And just so you don't think I'm being selectively pariochial, the homepage of the Guardian's world site is leading with:

"Football violence. England Russia fans brawl in Lille at Euro 2016." Accompanied with a photo of your fans fighting with police.

And just to clarify, cos you seem to struggle with this, the quote above is an actual quote. It's a direct copy from someone or something. That's how quotes work Mark.

This one Mark...

Did you read my posts? I haven't defended anyone in the slightest. I took offense to Ryan repeated "you're all a disgrace" stance.

The one you made up.

A small group of England fans in their late teens said that their Russian counterparts had started the trouble by charging at a larger knot of around 200 England fans drinking outside Le Prize pub, 100 metres from the main square.

Hundreds of England fans had spent the day drinking outside bars near Lille’s domestic train station. For the most part it was good natured, involving little more than songs and impromptu games of football, but as the afternoon wore on the songs and chants became more specifically anti-Russian, especially with news of Russia’s loss to Slovakia.

“We’re England and Wales, fuck off Russia, we’re England and Wales!” went one chant, along with another of “Russia’s going home”. As Russia fans began arriving in the centre of Lille after the game, they mainly hung back and watched the songs, some smiling, though one could be seen carefully folding a large Russia flag to put away in a pocket.

As more Russia fans arrived, however, the chants from their English and Welsh counterparts got louder and were accompanied by finger pointing and some evident tension.

A loud bang from a flare or firework appeared to be the signal for a small group of Russians to charge at England fans, some of whom had mounted a parked car. England and Wales fans then chased the Russians through the streets, with large numbers of police in hot pursuit.

The opposing sets of fans scattered through the back streets of Lille’s old city, pursued by CRS riot police. In chaotic scenes there were a few skirmishes, but some fans were clearly trying to escape. One father in an England shirt was seen leading away his two young sons, one of them aged about six who was weeping in his arms.

The skirmishes soon died down and police used teargas to break up one big group on a street dotted with cafes and apartment buildings. A French family was seen coughing and wiping their eyes as they struggled with the lock to their apartment block.

Shame you can't get the hang of correctly representing news articles, or differentiating between a minority of thugs and an entire nation.

At the very second I type this message, the homepage of The Guardian & The BBC's news sites (not the sport, or the football page, the fucking homepage of the news site) is leading with English fans fighting in Lille. Today. It's rolling coverage. Your supporters are actually fighting, vandalising, and racially abusing others right now.

Not 30 years ago, right this minute. That's what they're currently doing.

Why are you ignoring this?

Andy - why don't you "give a fuck" about this?
I said already im done Ryan.
You dont give a fuck what I think. I dont give a fuck what you think. Its pointless.

Yeah, before the evil English invented the Potato Blight, you were undisputed Masters Of The Universe, flying about on your potato-fuelled intergalactic spaceships, building potato pyramids, visiting far-off Potato Nebula worlds, YOU WUZ KANGZ.

That was never the problem, taking every other eatable food from us and leaving us only potatoes, which then got hit by a disease that all but wiped them out is what f*cked us.

These clashes are going away are they?

Imagine how bad it will be when Russia get bombed out in the final game.

Time to bring in the army.

At least 36 people have been arrested in Lille in a day of recurring clashes between French police and football fans at the Euro 2016 tournament.
French police said the arrests had been made throughout Wednesday and added that 16 people had been hospitalised.
On Wednesday evening, riot police charged at hundreds of England football fans as flares and bangers were lit.
The BBC's James Reevell said tear gas had been used by riot police and it was mostly England fans that were involved.
Earlier, some English and Russian fans were detained after scuffles.
England and Wales supporters are in the city ahead of the teams' match in nearby Lens on Thursday.
Russian and Slovakian fans are also in Lille, after their match at the city's Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Wednesday.

Darkness brought a dramatic escalation in tensions between English fans and French police.
Hundreds of supporters engaged in scuffles with the police, who used tear gas, flash bangs and baton charges to disperse them.
The fears earlier in the day had been of attacks by hardcore Russian hooligans, but this was very much an English problem.
They sang their chant "Please don't send me home" and threw bottles in challenge at the police.
After funnelling fans down the city's streets, the police withdrew and some fans were left to stay in the city centre, if in a less boisterous mood.
It's unclear what caused the situation to escalate, as earlier in the day the police had been happy to contain the fans and keep them separate.
The city was tense, but disturbances were low-key running battles quickly stopped by the police.
Now the fear is what will happen when ticketless fans watch the England v Wales game in the city tomorrow.

Earlier on Wednesday, hundreds of England fans were surrounded by riot police in the city's main square.
The fans were then pushed back into the corner of the square by police in riot gear, before the square was cleared.

England fan Oliver Larkworthy, from Norwich, is in Lille and was caught up when police fired tear gas at fans at the city's railway station.
"I saw a massive crowd running down the street - English fans, Slovakian fans and locals mainly, a real mix," he said.
"There is a massive mob of Russian fans standing outside the station just waiting to cause trouble. The whole thing is a disaster waiting to happen. It's like a massive tinder box waiting to go off any minute."

The Russian football team were given a suspended disqualification from the tournament following attacks by their supporters on England fans at their opening fixture in Marseille on Saturday.
Uefa also threatened to disqualify England from Euro 2016 if there was any further violence by fans.
Six England fans, aged 20 to 41, received jail sentences from one to three months, in relation to disorder surrounding the England-Russia game.
On Wednesday, Russia's foreign ministry summoned the French ambassador to Moscow as well as sharply criticised policing at the Euro 2016 tournament.
"Further stoking of anti-Russian sentiments... could significantly aggravate the atmosphere in Russian-French relations," the ministry said.

Michel Lalande, prefect of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais Picardy region, said a drinking ban was in place in some parts of central Lille and the stadium.
Shops selling alcohol in the city closed from 18:00 local time (17:00 BST) on Tuesday and will reopen at 06:00 (05:00 BST) on Friday, he said.
However, the BBC's Geraint Owen, in Lille, said small supermarkets were still selling alcohol on Wednesday afternoon, and drinking was taking place openly on the streets.

Vince Alm, of the Football Supporters' Federation Cymru, said the ban was not enforceable. "There are so many outlets around it's impossible," he said.
Fans are being discouraged from travelling if they are without a ticket to the England-Wales game, and the authorities had also asked those with a ticket to delay travel until the day of the game.
Those without match tickets can watch the match in the city's fan zone, where lower-strength beer will be sold.
Mr Lalande also said anyone carrying out violence would be removed from the country.
British Transport Police officers have been travelling with fans on Eurostar trains on Wednesday.
Eurostar is running some alcohol-free services, with no alcohol allowed through check-in or purchased at departure lounges or on board.

Lille isn't a great town anyway. Not sure why bother going there. Wait till the later rounds when the hooligans are out of funds.

FYI, I loved when the World Cup was in the US and Japan and the wankers couldn't go.

It was a total LoveFest.

listen can you link that bolded and italic part next time. Terribly disappointed to find it not clickable.

Yes of course @Ryan.. the media are reporting England Bias.. nothing unusual..

Delve a little deeper and you can see what sparked it all off.. Search Stan Collymore, despite the dick he is at times, he has reported an unbiased version on events as he was right in the thick of it....

Yes the English are not blameless and it certainly has not helped their cause in Goading Rival Russian fans, but the interaction of the Police in the manner they charged down the English fans without taking out the root cause initially is partly to blame here..

There are clearly England fans causing trouble over there. And there usually is in European-hosted Championships. As soon as the trouble kicks off, you kind of expect confirmation of who’s involved; a bit like you know who’s responsible for a terrorist attack but you have to wait until other people say it. Hopefully, the good England fans can have a word with the bad ones and clubs like Stevenage and Boreham Wood can address their obvious radicalisation issues.
