Agger is a good shout. Will be sad a day but when he's now so far down the pecking order lets at least cash in.
Cissokho has got to be a certainty. If Rodgers can get rid of Sahin in January, there is no excuse for keeping a guy that struggles to do a decent impression of an athlete let alone a footballer.
Moses is another one that I'd quite happily see the back of. He may have some worthwhile attributes but I just don't think he's worth persisting with. He doesn't show enough desire to impress and for a loan player that's something you simply can't live with.
Other than that, I'd see about getting Sterling, Illori and if we're not intending to play him, Alberto loan deals.

Basically that, but January isn't the time to be shipping loads out, Sterling should definately be loaned, he shouldn't be anywhere near the 1st team, Ilori is a good shout for a loan to.
Rodgers is going to need a big shovel come the summer though as there is a lot of shit that needs shovelling out of the squad.

didnt see the game so im not kneejerking like everyone else, but i reckon skrtel will go, he's just getting some shop window time, sterling out on loan, borini will get sold at some point, no idea who we could get as a stop gap striker, id give aspas some playing time but i dont think he'll be good enough
Moses Borini and Cissohko should all be shipped out at no great loss to the current team because their impact is non existent. Beyond that its a more complicated decision.
In defence we clearly expected one of Agger or Skrtel to leave over the summer or there is no way we would have brought in 3 centre backs. As it is we have one too many and we seem to be rotating them in the hope of randomly finding the best pairing. That wont work we need to decide on a first choice pair and play them as often as possible. Whichever one of Agger and Skrtel would bring in the most money should probably move on.
Midfield is the real black hole, we have 4 senior players for 3 first team places so we should be adding midfielders rather than getting rid of them. We probably need 2 quality midfielders either in Jan or next summer. One of them should be Gerrards replacement, even in a reduced role he can only do about 70 minutes once a week these days and there is no point tip toeing around the issue any more, his legs are gone and in high tempo games hes getting by passed. The other should be the defensive midfielder we have needed since we sold Mascherano. Lucas just cannot control games, he doesnt have either the physical presence or the range of passing required.
Of the attacking players Sterling just isnt good enough to play for us and wont improve in the reserves so he needs to go out on loan and prove himself. Aspas has looked woefully off the pace of the premiership so far but its probably worth giving him a few games after he comes back from injury to assess him further.

He's great when we have the ball, can be terrible when under pressure and his concentration levels are criminal for a player of his experience. Should have been shoved on the wing about 4yrs ago, we'd probably have a player on our hands now.
Aspas, Cissokho, Moses, Borini - waste of time and money, get shut.
Try integrating a few players into the squad over the next 18 months - Illori, McLaughlin, Smith, Rossiter, Ibe, Brannagan, Teixeira, Suso

I think Skrtel will go - should have gone in the summer. Also I would not be surprised if Suarez goes too. Many of us said that he should give us one more season. We're getting that - and its looking like going the way of all the previous ones - why prolong the agony? If we get the right offer then we should take it and move on.

I accept that. I really don't like to see him sit on the bench for us though, I'd much rather prefer he'd play elsewhere then - he is getting old you know 🙂
While that is true there is a big difference, under the previous 2 we saw those type of performances consistantly, under Rodgers this calender year they have been rare.
We all should keep the toys in the pram for now, if it becomes a regular thing then yeah sling them out and start acting like hysterical little girls.
And sack the manager ! And the board ! The ground staff have clearly got a lot to answer for as well.
Sean's great at this, he'll tell us he's never paying to watch them again, that he hates them all. Then when you call him for it, he'll remind you how much money he's spent watching them and how he's still grieving for his beloved Rafa.
