When was the last time we were outclassed and outplayed in the league?

Granted we've dropped 14 points this season but I'm struggling to think of a game where we didn't dominate and either switched off for a few fatal minutes, or didn't take our numerous chances.

Probably why we are so infuriated when we lose because we haven't been soundly beaten just gotten unlucky.

I'd have to go back to last season to think of a game where we 2nd best over the 90 mins

Our style of play and intensity certainly gives us the edge over the majority of the opponents, but it counts for little when individual errors keep costing us. If we're to achieve under Klopp he needs to find the right balance and skill between our defence and attack. We're not there yet.

Yep that's why I've been saying for a while to friends we are nailed on for top 4. Our style of play will be good enough to beat most sides which in turn will be good enough to get 70+ pts and top 4.

I actually think we'lol finish 3rd or 2nd with some luck

Stoke.

But the really memorable one is the one we lost against Chelsea like 4-1 or something

Who gives the tiniest fucking shit?

Nothing else matters apart from the result

'Well, at least we were always in it'
'If we'd taken our chances!'
'We were so unlucky and hit the post'
'It was a narrow defeat'
'We just need to work on our consistency'
'The defence is fine, it's just silly individual errors'

The lexicon of cunts

Swansea played us off the pitch in the 1st half of our game at the Liberty this season.

Over the course of a whole game, it would have to go back to last season when there were quite a few times it happened.

Well I would say we have a greater chance of success long term if we are rhe better side in every league game as opppsed to been played off the park nicking a goal

If we get played off the park in every game and nick a goal to win, then we'd be Champions of England for the first time in over 25 years

I'd like that

I would too obviously, but the point I was making is that it's been a long time since we have been this hard to dominate. Nobody has done it this season in the league

Europa League Final 2nd Half was the last time we were outplayed.

This season - no one has outplayed us; and when they have it would be limited to 20minutes and those 20 minutes were probably against Bournemouth. People are wrong to say that it does not matter - by dominating our opponents we are giving ourselves a great chance to win games through control and ability to create chance after chance. It is a big factor this season as it was in the year we came second. Key to this year is that we are the undisputed ball Possession kings of the league and it is key to our defensive strategy as Klopp has mentioned quite a few times.

Even last season - we had 3 really bad games where we did not perform:-

1) Watford away
2) Newcastle away
3) Europa league 2nd half

Apart from the above we either dominated possession or it was 50-50 but the main issue was that we lacked the ability to break down park the bus opposition - this season we have greatly improved on this area especially after the Burnley game.

Besides, when the opposing teams talk about how relentless we are and how we are the toughest to play against, it starts to create that aura of fear we haven't had in too long. Even though we drop points along the way it helps long term to be a team no one wants to play against.

Nothing wrong with our attack granted they could be a little more clinical. It's the goalkeeping and defence that needs sorting. Our goalkeeper needs to dominate the box. Tighten up at the back and get more clean sheets. We certainly score often enough to win most games.

The fact of the matter is we're just a really good football team nowadays. Not perfect but we're a bit of a force again and I don't think any opponent would fancy their chances against us.
