Whats everyones favourite meal

I'm not scorning your food, but really, is it worth 45 pages?

I know krissr has valiantly attempted to drag new life into it from time to time with some very open questions, but jeeeeeeeeez, 45 pages!

Considering it's 4am,and I've just come home after having a post-midnight supper/dinner with 2 Frenchmen who wanted to sample authentic Malaysian foods,I'd say YES ;D ;D ;D

Whats the black liquid ?
[/quote]

har koh or heh goh, literal translation means shrimp/prawn paste or cream of prawns. It is distilled from the head of prawns. A thick goey liquid but with an indescribeable incredibly fantastic taste

That sounds delicious.

Can you Chinese or Asian lads answer me a question?

Every time I do a deal with Asian folk (Chinese & Thai ect) to import some stuff to UK for me they call me “My Friendâ€

For example – “We do the best price†“ you can trust me†but always say MY FRIEND after.

Why not just say mate? Is mate a word in your language?

'Mate' isn't used that often this part of the world. In fact, if you use it, people might think you're trying to be Australian. That's just the way we are, my friend.

Yeah.

But Marmite is much better than any of that.

To be honest,I'm not really that fond of asam laksa.

Much prefer curry laksa.

Neither,it's a thick gooey liquid which we dribble on some noodle dishes.Usually asam laksa, which is alrady very sour because of the tamarind juice.

Yeah,pretty much what furyoo said.

Though it is catching on,the more we deal and maintain friendships with English and Australians.

As requested by Avvy, curry laksa. (Since he answered all the questions from kris). Actually there are few variety of curry laksa. It can be as hot as you like (by adding chilli padi) or as mild as you prefer.

I like hot stuff, but you guys must have throats made of steel. I don't think I can handle that kind of food everyday. I do love Thai Sweet Chilli though.

I prefer mee siam to laksa.

Have we covered briyani?

Have we covered briyani? Have we not covered anything yet? There is still room for more briyani, I am sure. ;D

Just add some tabasco 😉

I have just returned from a local restaurant run by some very friendly Nepalese people.

I had Lamb Tikka for a starter and then Tandori Chicken served with a Pokhara sauce. The Pokahara sauce is basically a variation on a Dhansak sauce, but with Pineapple instead of lentils and this particular chef gets the sweet bit by using organic honey.

It is absolutely incredible. I shall take photos next time I'm there!

It's sheep, probably better for biryani than lamb because its cheaper and will soften during the cooking process (no need to waste sweet lamb meat if you can get away with the less expensive mutton). Most of the kebab I've had was made with lamb (young sheep).
