What kind of tactical improvements do you want?

IMO?
The following:

* Stick to 4-2-3-1 even if we aren't playing at home. We haven't got good enough wingers to play 4-4-2.

* Just for once score a goal before the 20th minute. This isn't exactly tactical, but I bet we'd win more matches if we scored an early goal.

* Killing games off. If we're up 1-0, go for it and try to score another.

* Gerrard shouldn't take corners, leave it to Cole, Aurelio, Jovanovic etc.

* Never play Lucas.

* If Torres is playing, don't pair him up with another striker, it just doesn't work.

* If Kuyt isn't performing well, sub the fucker. Rafa would rather sub Gerrard than Kuyt.

* Substitution can be made before 70 min. A player doesn't have to underperform for 70 min to warrant a substitution.

Fuck Lucas off.
Win games.

That's all anyone should care about. Who gives a shit what formation or substitutions we use, as long as we win

We were badly lacking width against WBA. Teams like them love you to try to batter the way through their line of gorillas in the middle. Jovanovic abandoned the left side very quickly, leaving a huge expanse of empty grass on the left reminiscent of the Pampas or the South African Veldt.

I don't know whether Hodgson decided this couldn't be remedied by just reminding Jovanovic that he was supposed to be playing on the left, because Dirk played there in the second half. If anything he seemed to be a bit better than when he is on the right.

Fortunately this problem ought to go away when Joe Cole returns from suspension, because he mostly played on the left for Chelsea.

We've been crying out for a proper winger for more than a decade now. I doubt it will change anytime soon. How I wish that by some miracle we hijack the N'zogbia deal.

I want Roy Hodgson either to start realizing he is not in charge of Fulham anymore, hence the standard of players he chooses should not include the Poulsens and Lucases in CM. Neither the Jovanovices as a regular starter. They are, sorry to say so, way way way below the standard formerly known as the Liverpool way.

I was actually expecting Roy to put on an extra CD late on yesterday to avoid a late effort from WBA (at home). I bet it would have come if they hadnt been harshly reduced to ten men. I am not very happy with what I seen from Hodgson so far.

Hodgson has to manage in the real world. We can't afford star players at the moment. Maybe a change of ownership may produce a different situation.

Well, we can afford our only creative CM worth 20 mill pounds to go out on a years loan. We can afford to have a pacy winger with PL experience on the bench when a slow Jovanovic hides out there pretending to be the Balkans Dirk Kuyt. Its not like we have to put out all defensive forces to survive at home against WBA?

Put Gerrard back in CM, keep him there and build the team around him.
RAWK your RAWK out with RAWK.

I'm not sure if I fully understand this

Jovanovic isn't slow. One would almost think you've never seen him play at all.
He is slow on the ball and slow in his head. That is what matters in football.

I just want to Roy to stick to the basics and keep things simple. Stands to reason that a foreigner would come along talking about tactical improvements.

* Pick the best available starting eleven for every game. There is no need to be clever about that.

* Make proper use of bench and tactical substitution available.

* Pick players in the midfield who don't always get over-run and out muscled.

* Don't make playing players out of position a habit.

any fucking tactic which will allow kelly and pacheco to play ahead of lucas and poulsen. as it stands we have good players on the bench, whilst a bunch of shit and piss is allowed to stroll around the pitch every week

Do shut up
Have you seen him twist and turn????

I dont fucking care if he is faster than Kuyt running 100 mtrs straight. However it takes him half a day to turn around and the rest of it deciding who to pass to. In my opinion that is slow.... Slow as fuck!

Pass and Move its the Liverpool groove, well at least it used to be, now its hoof the ball up to Torres and watch him get kicked to fuck

They try to play "pass and move" football but I think the long ball is a legitimate tactic when we are getting crowded out in midfield by a team like WBA.

Pass and Move its the Liverpool groove,
that was two decades ago.

'pass and move it's the liverpool groove' has changed to 'kick and rush, the liverpool...' (can't think of anything to rhyme with 'rush' ha ha 😉

Yeah I saw Arsenal reverting to long ball against... oh no hang on!

I can think of one tactical improvement.

Not being linked to shit players would be a start.

- go out with the intention of winning games rather than setting up not to lose.
- fuck rotation for the sake of it - i'd rather the players be knackered in april with a chance of something than full of energy and disheartened at being out of everything
- play gerrard and the portuguese lad in midfield as much as possible - never start lucas.
- play cole behind torres, when cole isn't playing put pacheco there
- play maxi on the right more, dirk is not undroppable
- when torres is out play babel there - ngog is shit
- play agger ahead of skertel
- when losing 2 nil don't give up, i'd rather lose 4-2 having gone for it rather than 3-0 being too scared in getting humiliated

oh and a manager that does his talking on the pitch

Some sort of fluidity or movement on and off the ball.

It's annoying when Gerrards looking for the pass, and theres no-one for him to give it to in any decent position.
