Will points gained against them in the league still stand?
If it was the case that all fixtures against them were wiped out that would really benefit us.
Any chance of that happening? They £7.5mil to the Revenue apparently.

i couldn't care less about a few league points. a premier league team getting wound is bad news for everyone. won't happen though

They will go into administration and get docked points. - Not sure how many points they will get docked. But there is no precedent to suggest that any results will be reversed.

There is an agreement with one of the parties that he isn't paid whats he's owed he can go in and stip the club apart. Or so I thought?

I would laugh.

I wonder why the papers have not been pointing fingers at Harry Redknapp. It's his fault, isn't it?

I agree. I hope they survive, and that all clubs learn the lesson.

I agree too. It would be a shame.
The fantastic plans for a futuristic stadium must look a million years ago at the moment

Well said Gerry. You've got to feel for the Pompey fans at the moment. We think we've got it bad they've been fucked about something awful.

I'm far from an expert but isn't there a difference between a club going into administration and being wound up?

If a club actually goes out of business and fails to exist then they could adjust the points. This is what I think happened with Kings Lynn (also over HMRC debts incidently) and maybe one or two others in the lower leagues

Results of games played will not be changed
How can that be? It would mean that some teams would play more than others by the end of the season.
The only possible way of doing it is assuming they did not exist at the start of the season.

A winding up order doesnt mean the club will cease to exist - they will go into administation ala crystal palace etc.

So they will be deducted points, and assets will be sold etc - i think they will survive at least until the end of the season. They may well cease to exist then tho.

I don't think you have thought this out Jack.

I am glad the premier league have though..................

relegated to the Football League.

Matches in which it has participated that Season shall be expunged from the table and the

at 20 (or, if less, as near thereto as may be) the number of Clubs in membership of the League
at the beginning of the next Season.

30. If any Club ceases to be a member of the League other than by reason of relegation after the
end of the Season but before the Board has fixed the dates of League Matches for the next

Fucking hell. You're telling me that when Ragball Rovers were fucked out of my local team's league ten years ago,the games they played should have been expunged from the records

And we lost the league by two points

The league secretary probably just couldn't be @rsed to work out the new points totals.
I think alot of Liverpool fans will gladly do it for him!

Just relalised that a winding up order does mean they will cease to exist!! Whoops!! :-[

I cant see it happening, i think at worst they will go into administration, and at best they will get the 28 day adjournment they are after. Seems that Notts County got this extention a few weeks ago??

Ah....Counteh, they were going to be the new force in football.

A Notts fan tried to give me shit about not being in the FA Cup anymore.

I took that sucka DOWN !

What would likely happen is every team would be given an automatic 6 points - irrespective of whether they drew or lost against Pompey.

Pretty simple really.
