Thats exactly what Suarez reminds me of right now. A really good, really consistent Luis Garcia. The skill, the dribbling, the first name, the goal threat and the intelligence, but twice as good and none of the frustration. A few 30 yard wonder goals now please Luis.

Pee Wee was really inconsistent though - he'd have great games and then disappear. Suarez is there every game, and can cause probelms for a defense up front or behind a striker. I highly doubt however, that Suarez can head the ball the way Garcia could ...

He's way better than Lil Luis. With all due respect to the diminutive Spanaird.

By the proverbial country mile too

Suarez doesn't give the ball away as much as Garcia used to do when his creativity went wrong. That's good because it's a luxury the team can't afford at the moment.

No one is questioning suarez is better, just that he plays similar style to luis.

Audacious is my word for him

Excellent shout. If anything I reckon Suarez has the wherewithal to become even better than Beardo. Now wouldn't *that* be something.

Outside of Liverpool (maybe even Newcastle) Beardsley seems to be one of the most underrated English players I can remember.

He was sensational.

Fabulous player, not quite in my All-Time XI but definitely on the bench. He should have finished his career with us, and one of the King's worst mistakes IMO was persuading Souness to get rid because Beardo supposedly didn't score often enough.

Advised rather than told as such, but that was certainly the (persistent) story at the time, and I can't recall hearing anyone deny it since.

I'd say we've finally replaced Beardsley.

YES.

I KNEW he reminded me of someone.

Must be true then.

Suarez wasn't at his best against City, he ball didn't seem to fall for him properly all night, and he should of scored at least once. But he's still an absolute nightmare to play against. He's going to prove a brilliant piece of business.

There was definitely the first signs of a decent relationship between Carroll, Suarez and Kuyt, which is very encouraging.

Garcia was one of the most annoying frustrating bastards on the planet. He's like that bird you had who would always be late, often got drunk and told all your mates you had a small cock, but years later when you recall her, all you remember was that time she blew you and fingered your bum.

Ahahaha.

2 goals and 2 assists in 7 games.

Looking solely at the numbers you'd be underestimating his impact on the team.

And he's a couple of levels above Garcia too

[/quote] I was in the Kop when Luis scored that header against Anderlecht.
I still haven't figured out how he did it.
