Shelvey is simply not suited to that role. As I said the other day, strikers should be strikers. Square pegs, round holes

I hoped he'd do better than this

Morgan at half time for cole please

Sterling's been piss poor.
Yeah, he's only 18, etc, but he really has been shite. Giving the ball away, piss poor shooting, can't beat a player to save his life, yet still has a go with three players around him.
He's better than this.

He's a lazy cunt today. I wouldn't mind if he had something to be lazy about.

Should've have played Gerrard up top.

Correct

its because he's in the role where its most noticeable if you're not up to scratch.

And that is no way his fault.

BR could have played Morgan or even Yesil instead.

Like Sunny said, strikers should be strikers.

Fuck false nines.

To be fair to West Ham they upped their game once they smelled blood way before their peno - we got nervy and showed it almost every time they sent a high ball into the box and it just encouraged them to keep trying that and unnerve us more. We basically got suckered into playing their game with long clearances to nowhere and some terrible Hollywood balls (just because it worked once or twice didn't mean we should've kept at it).

And no way that wasn't a red with the kick in the stomach on Sterling.

Pen was harsh, but i've seen them given. I'd probably be giving out if it was the other way around and we didn't get it (we wouldn't obviously). However, how taylor is still on the field is beyond me. The linesman was close to that. He bottled making a call. Taylor's foot was several feet over the ball.

For such a clever footballer Gerrard sometimes does the most stupid of things. There was a moment when the ball went out for a throw. He looked to play it quickly - fine, except nothing was on, so he threw it anyway and West Ham broke with it. Why? What on earth was the point? He's the captain. He's supposed to be the one who puts his foot on the ball, calms the others down and controls the play. Instead he's like some 17 year old who gets over-excited and tries to do it all at once.

A dodgy penalty and an oggy lady luck where the fuck are you....

And blueshite score 2 in 1 minute 🙁

Rodgers is pissing me off playing individuals out of position but he's not helped by having a team with no fight in them.
