Our midfield is pants, probably the worst I've seen in years, you can see why we tried to bring in Keita in January

Tactics, team pack the midfield against us, we will struggle to break them down. You get the feeling we have been found out

Our bench is a joke.. Lacks options, Solanke and Danny Ings.. We are about to sell our most natural goalscorer without an adequate replacement..

We must make signings in the rest of this transfer window, otherwise we can kiss top 4 goodbye, that then could then lead to a mass exodus of our top players

Everyone is strengthing around us.. We have weakened..

Agreed on Mignolet, I'd rather play Bogdan/Shamal George over that useless twat.

Matip is not up to the pace of the league it seems, not enough to be 1st choice anyway.

Van Dijk not a one man band, who'd have thunk.

Desperately need a leader and defensive mind in the middle.

Ok. So normally we're cunts as we don't do our transfers early enough. Now we're cunts as we had this one sewn up before the window.

Just seen the timing of the goals... it seems to be every week that we concede a goal before half time now. That shows the team has poor concentration, but we knew that already. Glad I didn't watch it.
 
How can we have been "found out" when teams have known that's the best way to play against us for ages now. If we're not on form, and they are on form defensively, it works. It usually doesn't.

Moreno offered nothing in attack in what became a very compact game, and less than nothing at the back, and TAA was off form as well. Our forwards weren't offering a wide outlet ball enough.

Most alarming was the dunkin donut hole that was our midfield for 60 minutes. Playing crazy narrow, you'd think it would be congested and tight other than the wide ball that was on all day for West Brom, but no, we're somehow narrow and open. Our midfield wins the ball well enough most games, but it cannot hold a ball or develop play well, even though it's relatively committed up the pitch. That's why we allow so many dangerous counterattacking chances. That's also why we're shit when we need to kill a game, it's why we end up playing long balls from deep, and low percentage crosses. Finally, it's why we're shit when teams neutralize our speed with well organized defense. That's why Coutinho played in midfield at times when teams dropped off against us. In this context it doesn't matter about Coutinho, it matters why that was needed in the first place. He didn't truly solve the problem, but that workaround not being there just exposes the problem more. The balance of our midfield hasn't made any sense for years now, stretching back even before Klopp.
 
I'm sorry, I'm totally wrong. We've got everything we need in this window and all is well with the world.
 
I'm not that bothered about not signing anyone. I think we have to accept the market is ridiculous and even worse in Jan.

What I still struggle with is ending up in a situation where we feel like the only option is to sell Coutinho mid-season with no plan in place. Obviously I don't know anything about what goes on behind the scenes but I can't help but feel let down by the club's handling of the whole affair.

For years now our achilles heel has been our defence, yet we have failed to address it, time and time again

Since Sam Hyppia left we have never had a decent back line

To top that our midfield has been gash.. We have lacked a solid defensive midfielder, by God we have been crying out for one!! and any decent playmaker we have had, have either retired or been sold

We fail to buy adequately, for the owners is all about profit.. Players for the future, that have a resale value.. not for the here and now

We are in the top ten of the biggest clubs in the world, and we are an utter Shambles when it comes to 'keeping up with the jonesies'
 
Oh and we will probably sign Rodriguez..

We usually sign players that play well against us.. Such is our tremendous scouting department

West brom I think have failed to score more than 1 goal away from home this season, with the exception of against Accrington Stanley and Exeter in the league Cup and FA Cup..

This place is hilarious when we lose. Like any other club doesn’t. I’m disappointed like any other fan, but we’re in the latter stages of the CL and fourth in the league.

Get some perspective . The three teams above us have huge amounts to spend compared to us and we’re within a sniff of the two above us. It will take us longer to get there as we don’t have gazillions to spend at the drop of a hat. It’s gonna take a little longer. But it’s hardly mid table mediocrity or worse.
 
It's all about getting fourth now.
And it's not totally unobtainable.
But another winless season isn't going to make it any easier in the transfer market.

Matip is shite we need to bin him and try Lovren or klavan beside Virgil. Ming was Ming, he shouldn't kick a ball for us again.

I thought we looked a bit better after the subs and Ings whilst clearly rusty improved on his last outing
