We'll never finish above Utd...

Except, you know, us winning loads of games at the beginning of last season.

How's that relevant? We are talking about this season. And whether we will finish above United or not. If they start out gunning teams and we can't without Suarez....

You're entire point was saying they could do what we did last season, of course it's relevant, in fact it's possibly the most relevant thing.

No, read the post and read the thread mate. I said they could do what we did last season and start out gunning teams. That's the only point I made. The fact that they could start out gunning teams. And the whole thread is in context to whether we finish above them or not. I'm sure wining a series of games at the start of the season last season won't have a huge bearing on that.

That's actually my worry with Utd, too. They'll start getting it a bit together at the back (only conceding 3 a game, let's say) and will start winning games 5-3 every week. They have the players to do it. They don't yet have the system. But I'd be more confident if they weren't scoring as many as they are.

They could well do what we did last season and just outgun most teams, especially if Falcao finds his feet. Plenty of quality attacking options and no European distractions.

Explain to me how mentioning what we did last season is irrelevant to this post? The fact that you meant playing only style and not league performance doesn't mean it's irrelevant, it means you weren't very clear with your post, so don't give me that shit.

I also don't buy this motion that the only reason we were good last season was because the brilliance of our attack papered over our non existent defence. There were maybe five games like that, Stoke, Norwich, Cardiff, Fulham, Swansea, the rest we won because we completely dominated the teams all over the pitch, attack, midfield and defence, United don't look anywhere near being able to doing that.

Good grief man you're highly strung. So you misread a clear post and made a tit of yourself on the net. Don't get so irate dude. With regards to last season then, can you explain without clutching at straws, just how the first few games of last season will make such a difference to whether Utd finish above us or not.

You're definitely in the Mors bracket of poster.

You mean like us last year?

Last year we had one of the best players in the world coming back from suspension.

It might be too soon to assess the squad, but it seems that we haven't strengthened the team at all.
We have a bigger squad sure, but we just haven't replaced the quality Suarez offered.

i also said we wouldnt finish above leicester, i also say a lot of things, suck my dick

Of course it's too ******* soon to assess the squad. You don't "replace" ability like Suarez's - it isn't even possible. You have to go in a different direction, and that takes time.

Yeah but we managed to replace Torres with Suarez. This time we didn't even try. Well OK, Balotelli.

We did try you mental

We got knocked back by a few players.

Also, as JJ said, you don't replace a talent like Suarez, you try your best to fill the void and adapt
