Martinez has Wigan playing with ideas and not a little style ... unfortunately the quality of their players is letting them down from time to time, especially when in goal making / scoring areas.
Wigan ended that half superbly. If they continue to show the same tenacity in midfield and their defence keeps making those last ditch tackles, they should at least get a point.
There's certainly goals in it for United but their lack of goalscorers is clear, and it's costing them atm.
If United don't win this match, with the chances they've missed, Fergie will probably go out and spend big on a forward player before the window closes.

Yep. I've just got my fingers crossed the transfer window closes with no major activity from United. Maybe the Glazer's need the Ronaldo cash just as much as we needed the Xabi fee.
Poor defensive mistake ... but to be honest Wigan have lacked class all over the pitch. A better team could easily have been streets ahead of United by now but Wigan have been unable to take advantage of their ample opportunities and now very poor defending has cost them the match.
