Its a shame that City vs Burnley is the FA Cup and not the league. Dyche had his players absolutely ruining us with dire tackles - would love to see him take the same approach against Pep tomorrow.

To be honest I hate that line. United fans use it all the time but a great player can be in a side that wins SFA, he's still a great player even without the medals.

Well...not really, eh? How many great players without any medals can you list?

Le Tissier? Erm...that's all I've got.

Ah, that's a good choice, although I guess one could say that if he had really worked to realise his full potential he would have gone to a bigger club and won something. I always took Hansen's point as being as much about evidence of ambition and drive as it was about medals.

He's the only one I could think of too. Defoe didn't either (I think) and he was a good goalscorer. Erm.......Collymore? Although that was as much self-inflicted as anything else.

I think Defoe won the league cup, didn't he, with Spurs. So that's a sort of tiny medal.

What? Is Dyche sending out the under 12s in the FA cup, or something?

I expect they will rotate as they have some important bottom of the table league games coming up.

Ah, now then, you're up to your old tricks changing the question!
Haha nothing like a parameter change. TBH I too struggled to come up with the names of any great players that won nothing at all - there must be some, though maybe not in this era.

There are certainly loads who didn't win much. Bobby Moore arguably being the prime example as far as English league players are concerned.
