Liverpool Given Chance To Sign Danish Wonderkid

Ajax youngster Viktor Fischer has been offered to Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window giving Brendan Rodgers a chance to add to his promising young attack at Anfield.

According to the Metro, Liverpool have been given the all clear to make a move for the 19-year-old winger at the end of the season amidst reports that he has fallen out with several coaches at Ajax.

Fischer has scored three league goals this season, although he hasn’t found the net for over three months now.

The article suggests that the talented youngster could be bought for around £15million having previously been interested in making a move when he burst onto the scene.

Fischer would join experienced Danish defender Daniel Agger at Anfield and would be able to feature in the Champions League with Liverpool on course for a top four finish this season.

Rodgers is expected to add to all aspects of his squad in order to compete for the title as well as in Europe next season.

From previous reports of him, I'd say we should be after this. Of course we'd need to be happy that the poor spell he's endured isn't a sign of things to come.

I haven't heard much about him this season, probably due to KHL vanishing from the web, but hows he been doing? I think if we sign him, we won't be getting Konoplyanka

Signing young talent is good and all but we need to strike while the iron is hot this summer, we will have the chance to bring in some genuine top quality players that can go straight into the first team.

Not saying don't sign him but i really hope we sign some more established players that will improve our team next season.

From what I've heard he hasn't had that good of a season at Ajax but the kid is a natural finisher and can play across the front three.
I say get him.

He wont be playing alongside Agger though as he'll probably leave.

Mail running with a story that Rodgers will get a new 3 year contract and a 60 mill transfer kitty if we get CL footy.

Sterling had a rough spell for a while and couldn't score for shit, and look at him now. His talent was always there, and maybe it's the same with this kid, so I wouldn't rule him out over a slight barren spell. Having said that, That's a lot to pay for a prospect from a league in which everyone seems to score a minimum of 15 goals a season.

I'd be happy with fischer, providing we didn't get rinsed for the fee

Even if we don't get the lad, it is so refreshing to see us being linked with the right kind of players - Konoplyanka, Fischer, Firmino. In addition to Mkhitaryan, Diego Costa and Willian last summer.

There have clearly been improvements in the transfer/scouting department.

Yes... It's wonderful when we get linked to players we don't sign.

Baby steps!

Yes... Haste the day our scouts improve so much that they can get us linked with Messi & Ronaldo before they renew their contracts elsewhere.

Baby steps no more.... Big manly bounds.... That leave small indents in the earth.

I agree with dmishra. Our targets are nearly always really exciting now, its a major improvement over the situation when Rodgers first arrived and he just seemed to be identifying players himself.

It's a very promising development if we do have plenty to spend and CL football to offer.

This kid or kono for 15m? Seems a no brainer, let's go for players who ate young and established. This kid for 10m or so might be reasonable.
