Sadly, there are signs of that he's lost it. Given that we cant sack him and that we cant afford a replacement, we're stuck in the middle. I'm not giving up on him yet. But we have zero luck this season, with injuries, close calls with refs, deflections and so forth.
We are shite though. Horribly shite.

If you want to blame Rafa for the last several games, the blame should be apportioned to his transfer decisions excluding this summer, which have left us thin, I don't actually think he has been making massive tactical errors, it's just that there isn't sufficient quality to chose between.

For example, it's not that Rafa doesn't put Babel on, it's that Babel has been a massive money losing failure, and he struggles to make the team because of it. Rafa's problem was buying him in the first place.

Sorry Rafa-fans but this is a bona fide crisis and the manager is one of those most accountable for that.

It's not just the results but the performances. Something is very, very wrong.

Heh.. I just think it's simple.. forget our name 'Liverpool' for a sec.. just look at the players out there tonight.. shite-to-average players = shite-to-average performances => poor results. It's not rocket science.
We just have too many average players in the squad and that were playing tonight. What's worse is they're all slow and un-athletic.

Aurelio - too slow, too weak.
Insua - too slow, too weak.
N'gog - inexperienced, and frankly average.
Lucas - too slow, too weak.
Voronin - too slow.

Our only hope to win anything this year is to have our entire full first team uninjured and playing week in, week out. The squad has been well and truly found out this year. Last year's title push seems a distant memory.

After United, we've got Arsenal away, Fulham away and then Lyon away.. if the Gerrard and Torres are still out/semi-injured, it could a very bleak few weeks for us.

I know what you're saying Fark, and I agree with it, but you don't think the like of waiting till the 72nd minute against Sunderland to change things (when we were playing shite and a certain 2 players should have been pulled at half time) is a tactical error? Or Voronin for Benayoun tonight? Which reminds me......;

Is Kuyt Rafa's fucking love child or something? He hardly ever subs him regardless of performance.

there is no fucking way we will beat UTD at the weekend.. not on our current form and the amount of injuries in our side..

Last year we could carry the can without Gerrard & Torres, Because we had Keane (for the first part) and Alonso (who always stepped up his game)

The rot has to stop at some time - and if the team can't get themselves up for this game I'd be amazed. Gerrard likely came off as a precaution tonight and there's every chance Torres might start too.

Man utd, whilst picking up scrappy wins, are not playing well and are without Rooney and maybe Vidic. We've every chance of getting a result.
