Absolutely buzzing, thought we were very sluggish to start but fuck me what a way to take advantage of other results!!

Coutinho ran the show.

6-1 without hitting top gear.

Get the fuck in.

Lucas was fucking superb too, read the game brilliantly at the back.
 
It's easy to read the game when you are no longer capable of running very far, so you can just stand there and watch everything unfold.

I was happy until we conceded that goal - why oh why did we have to do that ? it ruined the game for me at that point - anyway I was happy that we scored the 6th goal but cannot help but worry at the back of mind that this scoreline great as it is was against a team that had absolutely no players that were threatening of any kind - do you know what I mean ? - it was against a straight up functional team - no trouble makers of any kind that could test any one of our players proper.

Anyway - I thought Lucas was outstanding - and to be honest he provides me more confidence in Central Defense than ... Lovren. He seems to read the game very well and whenever we have asked him to play in that position he has been VERY good - not just plain good.

Delighted we now have a GD that is high and on par with the rest of our challengers - with everyone win we need to ensure the GD keeps in line with the others because I don't want us to have a Crystal Palace Kamikaze game we did in 13/14 on the assumption we last the pace with this title challenge.
 
My other concern is Klopp experimenting with Wijnaldum in place of Mane. That seems like his plan for January, which by the time he has accepted that it has failed to work, it will be too late.

I would guess Karius. The poor fuck did his absolute best to keep a clean sheet, but the team shrugged and simply continued to take a breather for longer than they should have.

Trust you had a magnificent afternoon... But the top gear comment? We must be close? Some of that play was Terrific
 
I really hope Mane decides not to go to African cup of nations in Jan. We really can go all the way this season but we need our best players playing all the way. Especially considering our toughest games are coming during that period.

Yeah - when he went off today it was obvious to see that the outlet in some instances to pass out to was not there anymore. Bit hard that if he does go but Klopp may have someone in mind for Jan window.

Milner (8) - Industrious, smart, technically sound footballer. He was at his best for much of the game. Docked a point for the goal which he looked accountable for.

Lucas (7) Steady enough. Passed well out from the back and no major disasters.

Matip (9) Calm, assured, strong, confident. The Sami Hypia comparisons are starting to look valid.

Clyne (8) - Less involved than Milner on the opposite flank and took a while to successfully link up with Lallana but he grew into the match. He was always in the right place at the right time. Defended well and supported the attack when required.

Can (7.5) - Slow start but got better throughout. Another goal scored. Difficult to drop when the goals keep coming.

Henderson (8) - Very efficient performance. Always made the right pass, his standard superhuman work-rate combined on display. Very little to fault.

Coutinho (9) - Makes this team tick. His tight turns, passes, link up play, and runs caused chaos to the Watford backline. Quietened in the second half but the job was done.

Lallana (9) - Brilliant from the kick off. He was all over the place. His interplay was devastating and his final ball perfect.

Mane (9) - Scored the vital first goal and settled the nerves. Was unfortunate to receive that heavy tackle and be taken off denying him the hatrick.

Firmino (8) - Linked up well, worked hard, another goal and 2 assists.

Sturridge - (7) - Menacing. Should have scored at least once but was a constant, individual threat. Determined to score but he should have played in other players at times.

Wijnaldum (7) - Glad to see him getting into the box and grabbing a goal. Needs to add this to his game in a red shirt.

I would take a point off Henderson. He switched off for their goal.
 
We recorded more shots on target today than any team has managed in the Premier League since Opta records began.

Philippe Coutinho has had a hand in eight goals in his past seven league appearances for Liverpool (three goals, five assists).

Adam Lallana has five league assists this season, with only Kevin de Bruyne providing more (6).

I'd rather see Sturridge or Origi come in for Mane in January, assuming he goes to the African Nations. At least both have some pace, Wijnaldum got sent through twice after coming on but he was too slow to break clear of their defense.
