I know this is early, but still.

Is it worth dropping Johnson for this one? I'd like to see this:

....................Migs
Manquillo..Lovren..Sakho..Moreno
..............Can...Gerrard
Henderson...Coutinho......Sterling
................Sturridge

I think Can is dynamic enough to give Gerrard help on the defensive side, but has a good enough engine to get forward a bit and help out too, unlike Lucas and Allen.

I suspect we'll see the same starting lineup as last night if everyone is fit.

We should have Lazar, Lallana, Balotelli on the bench!!!!! 3 players that can actually fucking change a game unlike what we had last season!

Well, considering he's torn his hamstring, I'd suggest it is worth dropping him. Balotelli should start, we should play 4-4-2 diamond, we need a big win here, or at least a win whilst playing convincing football. A really strong start is why we did so well last season, I said before the season started that we need 6 points out of our first three and I stick by that, there's no point saying there's still a whole season ahead of you, once you're falling behind, it's gets tougher, we need to win.

Drop Coutinho, bring in Balotelli, bring on Lazar, Lallana and Can some point during the game for some minutes.

Has he? Blimey, he'll be out for months then. I thought he had a thigh pull after what the gaffer said.

A match were we need to get a result imho.

Ming
Manquillo Skrtel Lovren Moreno
Gerrard
Allen Henderson
Sterling
Balotelli Sturridge

I'd like to see:

-----------------Mignolet----------------
Manquillo--Skrtel--Lovren--Moreno
------------------Gerrard----------------
-------------Hendo-----Can-------------
------------------Sterling----------------
-----------Balotelli---Sturridge--------

That back line looks leakier than wales
Manquillo has been impressive when he's played, and yes Moreno made a couple of school boy errors last night, he looked decent besides that. Give them a couple of games, and I can see that being our best back four, with Sakho maybe taking Skrtels place.

Either of these two for me as well.

Re: Moreno.. I guarantee he'll make damn sure he won't get caught like that again. On your debut is almost the best time to learn you don't get that time in the PL. Tough for him but also looked like he didn't get a call of a man approaching as he was very surprised.

My team would be...

Ming

Manquillo Lovren Sakho Moreno (if fit)

Gerrard

Hendo Allen

Sterling

Studger Mario

This will be a tough game, and I'm dreading it to be honest. Spurs finally have a good manager, and we have a wretched record there - last season excepted. Not looking forward to it.

My lineup as well. We have to see how Mario does in a red shirt but reverting to the diamond might be the way to get us going. Play a settled back four, pray to the gods and blitz the hell out of them. Offence is truly our best defence.

Also, how mad is it that we finally have a squad with so much quality and depth in it that we can drop Coutinho and have Markovic, Lallana etc not starting? Okay, we've lost Suarez, but we look very good now. A lot rests on Balotelli. Is he up to it? We'll see.

Not looking forward to this game. Mostly cause I hate Spurs and their cuntish fans
Yes, this game always has me on edge, Pochettino is a very good manager, lets hope he hasn't had enough time to really make them sing yet.

Is anyone due to come back from injury (like Enrique or Flannagan)?

Ming, Manquillo, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno, Gerrard, Henderson, Allen, Coutinho, Sterling, Sturridge

Subs: Jones, Sakho, Toure, Can, Markovic, Balotelli, Lambert

We're practically bedding in a new defence at the moment so it'd be nice to try and keep some continuity elsewhere. Markovic and Can have recently carried knocks so the bench is no bad place for them to start and Balotelli has only been with us for a week so could also probably do with being eased in.

If we start as we did against City we'll stand a reasonable chance of getting a result.

The llama is due back this weekend, as is Flanno. Re the Enrique, I'm not sure he's injured now?

Gerrard is not going to be dropped so no point leaving him out of any team.

So I'd take Halmeister's team with one change as we are losing some creativity in midfield. Therefore it's a choice between a hard-working midfield (Hendo/Allen/Sterling) or a more creative one (Hendo/Sterling/Lallana) though since Lallana runs his socks off (with stats a la Hendo's) that's where I'm going, with Markovic to take his place after 60-70mins.
