I always think it is lazy, and an opportunity missed, when, as a result of a sex change, the person just changes to the nearest equivalent name from the opposite sex. My 2nd cousin's husband went from Andrew to Angela ... how boring and predictable. I once worked with a pipe smoking, beer swilling, bearded Alan who became Christina .... that showed some imagination.

Milner had won trophies at city, wanted a fresh start, wanted more game time and got exactly that by moving to us.
VVD will walk into the starting line up wherever he goes but will get more money, play with better players, have a greater chance of playing in the CL every year and a better chance of winning trophies.
It's a no brainer if they come in for him much like it would be for any top player choosing between us and City at the moment.
Hopefully we can do something to change that this season or next but it doesn't change the scenario as it is right now.

TBF to Dreamy, there is a difference in his scenario e.g. having a choice from a different club to join LFC or MCFC vs being at MCFC and then wanting to leave to join LFC.
I'm working with what we have, players hardly come out and spell out all the clubs they turned down when joining a club, and it's very rare these days to have a bidding war like the Lukaku fiasco.
