I know. It's a fine line however. Some of those mentioned was no more wanted at Old Trafford and needed sold. I am not sure he'd sold Scholes, Giggs, Keane in their prime no matter the prize.

No one in their right mind would ever bid £50M for Agger so it's all rather speculative. I don't think we should sell him is all. I want us to build around him and a few others and as he's "only" 28 which is decent for a CB there's hopefully still a good five years left in him and he could be a cornerstone in our new looking side.

Look, I am so tired of this argument. I knew where it was going when Count involved Skrtel in this thread and I should've just looked the other way.

I am merely backing up my case whenever being accused of liking him only because he's Danish with the fact, that the best teams around wants to buy him for loads of money. What more evidence do you need eh? Yes, I involved Rodgers too, whom I believe has made a clear choice between the two as well.

You can believe they are equally good, or that Skrtel is better. It's ok.

And you know what I was being ridiculed heavily by a group of the most hardcore posters on here a few years back too when I predicted that Agger would become at least a £15M defender. I stood up for it because that was what I truly believed, as well as I have always believed Agger was a better defender than Skrtel, no matter what the next man would think.

You saying that they've been equally bad this Season is just as biased as me saying the opposite. So what's the point, it's all about opinions.

No it isn't. I'm not Slovakian. 😛 Agger has been poor this season. Watch the first goal we gave away at man City. Two massive mistakes, both Agger's led to it. Watch Giroud's goal against us at Arsenal, Agger's fault. There are more exmaples during the season. I know Skrtel was poor and gave away goals, but so has Agger. As for backing him because teams wanted to buy him (there were rumours, one Summer) and apparently City wanted Skrtel last season. I like Agger. I think he's a decent player, but he's had two seasons here where he's been fully fit, one very good, one poor. I think you vastly overrate him.
