Can someone remind him that he's now managing the bestest (sic) club in English football history, and not some mid-table team ?

Someone please remind him that we have world-class players in our team and that it is *OK* to attack, win and obliterate teams. Yes, that includes the scums and man shittys.

The way he sets us up smacks of a coward whose job seems to be damage limitation and nick a draw or win if we're lucky. It's as if he's afraid to upset the 'big' teams and get into potential slanging matches or mind games with opposing managers. Lie low below the radar. That's Uncle Roy's instructions.

I've never seen a more cowardly manager ever. Even Roy Evans' teams were at least adventurous.

Nobody expected him to be any good, did they?
I suppose not, no. But I didn't expect him to be *this* bad either.

The word "steady hand" seems to have been used several times.

Yup, how can a team have confidence if the manager has NONE

To be fair to Roy, he picked the team (with the exception of Maxi) that everyone has been calling for.

However, I heard pre-match comments that were so defeatist - i.e. not knowing if we'd be good enough - that just made me wonder if he is the right man for the job.

every single away game this season we've played for a point, and only when we were 2-0 down did we show any ambition and after clawing the game back 2-2 he sent on subs to consolidate a draw, completely upsetting the momentum we had built up and gave manu the inventive to go for the winner.

this season we have got what we've deserved away from home.

he's a coward and anyone who thinks ok to blindly back him are spineless.

we had them on the ropes and should have gone for it.

hope grandpa resigns on health grounds before the pressure gives him a heart attack.

too much too late in his career.

Roy Hodgson will be fired at the end of the season, if not before. I have no doubt about that anymore. And it doesn't depend on the ownership issue.

Hello....his past record was posted on here 1000 x.

I don't know what you were expecting from him.

Give him till XMAS and make a realistic assessment of whether he should continue.

We've played 3 of the top 6, 2 of which were away. It's not a dream start, but it's not the worst

Is this the worst start to a Liverpool managers career in modern history?

since 1992

I don't think Rafa had to play three potential top four sides in his first half dozen league games, but don't let perspective cloud your judgement.

The worst for 18 years actually.

I'd like to think Kenny is fated to manage us again then. And lead us back to the glory days.

So maybe there is a silver lining.

*Hopes*

If he was a manager who had self belief and was losing, I'd feel better, but he's so under-confident and it's showing in the team. I agree we've had a tough start, but even against Brum and WBA it's been rough. Give him till Xmas, but he'll still be out of his depth then. I don't think we can afford to throw away another year's CL place. Resign please Roy, and let Kenny step in

Give him till XMAS....until then, zip up already.

We've had a tough start to the season.

I feel more confident now, than I did under Benitez.

Oh dear, Mark. Oh fucking dear.

Still, you do love to back a loser, so you stick to your guns
Come on, Neil says we played for a point in every away game, we went to City and played 442, our first sub today was a striker. We've played City, United and Arsenal in our first 6 games.

Sometimes you just know. You look at the team play and you know it's not gonna work out. We got 63 points last season. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think we'll get that this season. I still *like* Roy though and really hope I'm just depressed.

And conceded 7 goals.

perspective? i'm calling him for what he is - a spineless coward
What the fuck are you on about.

Mark, I appreciate your loyalty. Let's see how we does in next four games not against top opposition. But I think the writing is on the wall, if he's going to be this under-confident. We needed a "steady hand" - no-one expected him to win all these games. But 16th?

formation has bugger all to do with intent, you can play a defensive 4-4-2 and an attacking 4-5-1.
