I haven't seen him for a few years properly but I would say he's a natural finisher who doesn't need pace to get the goals.

If he's dirt cheap then why not?

Good summary of the player (Trezeguet has never been that quick, relying on anticipation and canny movement for his goals). The answer to the question depends on how good one considers his chances of making it in the Prem might be. I don't give much for them myself and, if that's right, even minimal outlay on him would be a waste, which we can't afford.

My concern is that when the team needs an outlet up front, which is seemingly always these days, there is every chance he'll end up as a bit of a passenger. In games where we can dominate and carve out chances for the forwards to put away, he could be a useful option, but otherwise I'm not so sure.

Seems to be something behind this rumour, talk of a loan deal.

If we get both Toivonen and Trezeguet we look much better.

Ive always liked Trezeguet and he can score goals and as back up id rather have him than N'gog. So if it was cheep then yeah id take him.

From what little I've seen of him, IMO Toivonen looks much more like the kind of player we need than Trezeguet does, for the reasons set out in keni's most recent post above. If we can actually afford the wages for both of them, fair enough.

Hmm, I'd swap him for Insua. But not the Greek.

"Gazzetta dello Sport" is apparently now saying he's not likely to come to LFC and is more likely to sign for one of the Spanish clubs interested in him.

scared of the challenge i bet......
fuck him!

What's interesting is the article suggests Juve aren't looking for much in the way of a fee.

In fairness we can't compete with them. Hercules is a much stronger club.

Indeed, and it now turns out he's not in their Europa League squad. Not that they're trying to shoo him out the door or anything.
