Trent Alexander-Attitude

I said this before, it suggests something else outside. Gerrard went through this and Rashford went through something similar for 2yrs, if we any decent backup then I would have given him a longer break. Often teenage super stars go through it, we just have to hope he comes throught it and give him the help he needs off the field.

Gerrard was / is a fucking dick, his bird was banging every gangster in town and he was being blackmailed. The situations aren't comparable

From the off yesterday he was getting frustrated with his team mates, too many misplaced passes into him. The whole thing of keeping him at right back is starting to become counter productive. We're poor in midfield, he has the quality to step up to a midfield role, yet it seems a blind spot for Klopp.

I guess he's also at the stage where he's shown his quality, and getting bollockings off the likes of Hendo and Milner doesn't wash any more, when both are way past being good enough to play for us regularly any more. I get that you need that experience and guidance in there, but Trent has the ability and experience now to have taken over from Henderson in midfield. Why it hasn't been done is both frustrating and worrying. If he does go somewhere else, I'd wager he'd be let off the leash in midfield, and we'll be kicking ourselves.

Imagine a partnership of Bellingham and Trent.

Yeh I’d like to see him in midfield or at least tried there. Play Gomez RB or Milner. Shame Ramsay doesn’t exist at the moment

The overall lack of effort is getting to me. He goes high up to challenge, either by instinct or from instructions, but when he doesn't win it he just nonchalently strolls along, expecting someone else to cover the big gap he left behind. It's fine that someone is there to cover, but he needs to start getting back pronto and not jogging along like it's none of his business. Many times you see the player he originally made the challenge on running past him to add to the attack on our right but he is still jogging back.

Just recall the number of times Matip, Gomez or Konate desperately try to keep a few wingers at bay on our right while he is nowhere to be seen. Somehow we don't see the same problem on our left.

here's why I don't think it would make much difference play him in the middle. We would still need a RFB that can get forward. And can you see TAA braking his neck to get back and help defend..?

Ramsay got cremated and his ashes were scattered in the Mersey. Everyone knows that.

Nope.

He simply doesn’t exist - he was a fake signing to pretend we’d signed more than just Donkey Brain - same as Melo - they’re just actors and cardboard cut outs.

The ashes were Kaide Gordon’s - one of Donkey Brains shots in training missed the target by so much the young lad died from laughing.

It really isn’t a blind spot of Klopp.
TAA is definitely not good enough (in the head) to play in our midfield, if we’re looking to recapture our quality in that department of the last 6 years.
If he can’t concentrate enough to position himself correctly at right back, or put the work in when we’re defending, or track back when necessary, or give away careless passes unnecessarily, I certainly would not want him in the middle of the pitch.
Our high press, high energy, quick transition style was what allowed him to flourish at right back even with those deficiencies due to his world class passing and football brain (that he only uses in attack for some reason). Klopp is absolutely right in not using him in midfield.

He's doing way more damage at right back than he would do in midfield. Can't wait for Rashford to rip him a new one next week for the 6th successive season. And everyone can keep insisting its not a blindspot.

I'm going to stick up for him.
He's having a poor season but that is in comparison with the last six or whatever. He's been a constant in the side and until relatively recently, the England selection so he hasn't had a break.
As for his attitude, I'd be annoyed playing in that side. I see him sprinting back during games, he cannot do that with every attack against us as he's normally pressed high up the pitch. He'd be goosed by half time if he sprint from one end to the other.
As for the midfield angle, I don't understand posters saying his positional sense at right back is poor then advocating a move into midfield where that is one of the key attributes needed.

The «blindspot» has seen us win just about every trophy available with him as RB, Trent getting 65 assists and us as a team consistently keeping clean sheets.
I’d rather improve the team in key areas and continue to work with him in his current role.

In general Trent is caught ball watching and has a problem keeping awareness of what is going on behind him. There are some massive improvements that need to happen in his defensive side of the game, but: in this clip we need to know if he’s told to defend the zone he’s in or man mark. If its the first you cant really blame him. If its the second he’s obviously doing a very poor job.

If you believe that, then you seriously underestimate the importance of midfielders compared to a right back.

No idea of the reason behind Trent but we can’t just build these young players up and knock them down because they are all having one bad season. This season feels like a reaction to last season at times…
At this rate, we will only have one player starting next season and let’s face it, FSG still wanna sell up for the right amount and aren’t going to spend anything like what we need for a complete rebuild. Internally, we are going to gave to fix some of the broken mental state of soms of these players and that falls on Klopp and his management team.

He's never been quick. Pretty slow.
And the little bit of upper body bulk he's gained should not affect his speed at all. He's got way smaller muscle mass than a typical sprinter, never mind the Traores, Maximins, Mos, and Darwins of the football world.
You don't see it? I'm not talking about pace, I am talking about quickness... ability to react... shift his feet... fleetness of foot... some of it is gone.
