Liverpool striker Andriy Voronin will not prolong his stay at Hertha Berlin beyond the end of this season.
Voronin, who arrived at Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2007, has impressed during his loan spell back in the Bundesliga, scoring 11 times.
Rafa Benitez’s dismal attempt to bolster his attacking options with the acquisition of Robbie Keane led some observers to suggest that Voronin could even be in line for a mid-season return to The Reds.
He has however remained in Germany but has since been told that the club do not wish to keep him any longer.
"[The match against Karlsruhe on Saturday] was my last match as a Hertha Berlin player," Voronin told Die Welt.
"I want to wish the club and their fans all the best in the future."
