Transfer Rumours

Reus would have started and starred for the German side.

The lads the complete package
He'd have been sensational in that Germany side. If they could be accused of lacking anything it would be a bit of pace and dynamism, Reus would added that and more.

@SkySports_Keith: Daryl Janmaat will have his Newcastle medical this afternoon as the club push through their 5th summer signing on a £5m deal.

Good signing

Not sure as I think he is easily worth £34m and probably a lot more. But it probably has a good bit to do with age

Sounds like BS in all honesty. Italian media are saying there hasnt been any contact for a month and the player is happy to stay at Juve. You should have spent the Herrera money on Vidal if he was avaliable for 34 mill, which I doubt imho.

FWIW my Juve-supporting relatives don't think there was ever any basis for the idea that Vidal might go. If anything their guess was that Pogba *might* have been the more likely to be allowed to leave, but even then only for ridiculous money, somewhere north of what Bale cost.

[article]Manchester United have taken highly-rated Benfica starlets Joao Filipe and Joao Virginia on trial, Sky Sports understands.

Sky Sports revealed earlier this month that a host of Premier League clubs, including United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea were all chasing Filipe and Virginia.

Winger Filipe, who has been labelled the "the next Cristiano Ronaldo", and goalkeeper Virginia are regarded as two of the best young talents to emerge in Portugal in recent years.

Barcelona have already seen one offer rejected for Felipe with Benfica desperately trying to tie down the two teenagers to long-term deals to secure their futures.

However, United appear to have stolen a march on their rivals by coming to an agreement with Benfica to take Filipe and Virginia on trial so that they can cast an eye over the pair at close quarters.

If the duo impress during their stint at Carrington they could be offered deals to move to Old Trafford on a permanent basis.[/article]

Spanish newspaper AS report that the Gunners have lodged a €29million (£23m) bid for the German international.
Real Madrid seem resigned to losing the 27-year-old midfielder, but it is not yet known as to whether such a bid will be enough to get it done.
Should it be accepted all that remains is those pesky personal terms.
And therein lies something of an issue - Mirror Sport understands Khedira wants £150,000-per-week to become the club's highest paid player.
Compatriot Mesut Ozil and new signing Alexis Sanchez are the current top earners on an estimated £130,000 weekly salary.

I like:
A move to Anfield had appeared in doubt for Shaqiri after Bayern's sporting director Matthias Sammer ruled out a sale.

"Xherdan is an important player for the future," Sammer said.
"There are no thoughts at all about selling him."

But the 22-year-old has dropped a hint on his official Twitter account suggesting he could still push for a move this summer.

"I live in the present, not in the future," Shaqiri posted.

Roma are also interested in Shaqiri, who is valued at around £15m.

I'd love Shaqiri - fantastic value for money too. Just don't understand that valuation but hey ....

Buy, buy, buy !

Liverpool have been given a boost in the hunt for Mario Balotelli after AC Milan reportedly splashed his asking to just £14million.

Balotelli is rumoured to be among Liverpool's top transfer targets this summer with Brendan Rodgers looking for a replacement for Luis Suarez.
And while the Italian's £30million price tag might have put off any potential bidders, Italian newspaper Tuttosport says Milan have slashed that down to just £14million.

The newspaper says that Balotelli has been told he can leave Milan this summer with the club hoping to sign Jackson Martinez or Radamel Falcao as a replacement.
Many have been put off by the ex-Manchester City striker's attitude, but at just £14 million, the 23-year-old could represent excellent value.

....................
A player of his quality, regardless of his issues, should be snapped up for £14m.

Inside Futbol

Liverpool are ready to move for Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette. Brendan Rodgers' men had been chasing Alexis Sanchez but he signed for the Gunners last week. Now Liverpool are looking for alternatives and, according to French outlet Mercato 365, Rodgers is keen on Lacazette.

The forward is understood to be on the Liverpool manager's shortlist of attacking options and Lyon are thought ready to sell Lacazette for the right price. The 23-year-old has also been interesting Newcastle United, however he is only willing to leave Lyon for a team in the Champions League, a box the Magpies cannot tick.

Lacazette is under contract at the Stade Gerland until 2016 and Lyon have been eyeing signing him to a fresh deal. Last term he hit the back of the net 15 times in 36 Ligue 1 games for Les Gones.

Everton's Ross Barkley is being linked with a big-money move to Manchester City. But a man who played for both clubs - Andy Hinchcliffe - says he needs to look at Jack Rodwell's career before making any decision.

14:00 BST Tottenham's hopes of signing Loic Remy have been complicated by the fact the Queens Park Rangers striker has two buyout clauses, reports The Daily Telegraph. Spurs had been hopeful of tying up an eight million pound deal for the France international but it has now been revealed that sum is only for clubs who qualified for the Champions League.

If Mauricio Pochettino wishes to land his man, he would have to offer 11 million pounds as this would activate the clause for clubs who finished fifth and sixth in the Premier League last season.

😀

Just wondering, does anyone find these odds you contantly post even remotely interesting?

No offence like but I find it irritating especially when instead of putting them all in one post you make a dozen separate ones.

I like them, I feel they're more reliable than transfer rumors at times, just because there's third party money at stake.

But betting sites play them so safe that even a slightest bullshit rumor will slash the odds so there's hardly any real info to be found there imo.

I've no idea. Probably someone does. The bookies are rarely wrong so any movement in the market is usually based on something ... even if just a stampede of money based on a Twitter rumour. Just skip past them instead of reading them if they are of no interest, all you have to do is scroll down, takes but a second.

It would take very little activity (less than £100-200 roughly) to move it like that.

The only time the football transfer markets mean anything is when someone goes long odds on (i.e.. 1/10 etc)

Seriously ? That's nothing at all. Surely 33/1 to 7/2 is based on the media reports, accurate or otherwise.

Haha, I already skip them. it's just that when I see new posts in the thread and rush in anticipating a bullet proof rumour of us signing a new sexy superstar and all I find is seven posts of odds from Sky Bet. I just feel one step closer to the grave at those moments.

Haha sorry mate, but that happens to us all in threads we're particularly interested in. Especially when it involves Modo fighting with someone or other and it drags on and on and ...
