Transfer Rumours

Well, we do have wide players, but (barring Ibe, I suppose, and he's probably not ready to play a major role yet) no specialist left-sided ones. Our earlier pursuit of Konotwoshortplanka suggests Brendan sees this as a gap he needs to fill, and we could do a lot worse than Griezmann there.

Apparently we're considering a bid for Ben Davies.

I can't say that I remember him standing out against us (or even if he played against us) but I'm sure I could get behind this signing, because fuck Spurs.

Ditto Seville for all their @rsing around over Moreno. I don't know much about either player but, judging by the Seville fans' reported reaction to the prospect of selling Moreno (which reminded me of a similar reaction from Degen's previous fans in Germany when we went in for him), I think I'd sooner take a chance on Davies anyway.

An under-rated player, actually. When we were linked to Moreno, a fellow red who lives in Swansea thought we could do much worse than Ben Davies.

Any more news on Rojo? I've really liked the look of him whenever I've seen him.

Markovic is probably as much a left winger as Griezmann. He played on the right for Benfica but all his previous development has been as a left-sided player.

Lallana will play predominantly on the left-side. He's not really an out and out left-winger so I get your point, but I don't think BR wants an out and out left winger anyway. Pretty much everyone we've got and are going after can and should be able to play across 3 or 4 positions up front.

According to stats, Lallana is more effective on the RW or through the middle than on the LW.

Honestly, the fans reaction is such a good and accurate way of assessing a signing.

When Lucas and Aspas time comes, let's make sure we have lots of "Gutted" threads.

@cloggypop

Liverpool have today been backed in from 6/1 to even-money favourites (1/1) to sign Wilfried Bony from Swansea this summer #LFC
No thanx, I'll pass on Bony Wilfred.

Liverpool set for €15m deal, wages agreed.

According to reports in the Italian media Liverpool midfielder Lucas Levia is on the verge of signing for Serie A side Napoli after the transfer fee and his wages were agreed on. The Brazilian could see himself surplus to requirements at Anfield due to the competition from midfielder places and now looks set to join his former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez in Italy.

I'm biting their hands off at that price. Go Rafa!

I was thinking how much Brazil needed Lucas the other night. Seeing as though he didn't play at least it hasn't affected his value.

Fernandinho on the other hand is now worth 50p and a bag of chips...

After the Brazil horror show, I'm glad that Lucas and Coutinho weren't part of the team. It would have damaged them no end on a return to the club.

How did we turn down 5M from Sevilla for Aspas? Payback for Moreno is a bitch. Its 7M or nothing.

Me too. Ironically either or both would have dramatically improved them I think.

In regards to transfers news. This makes for an interesting read.

Brazil were crying out for Lucas and Coutinho every time I watched them play. I couldnt help laughing at that old school drubbing.

40M Benzema being discussed as Suarez replacement if Real snatch Falcao. Interesting times ahead.
