Well, to a point, but after he realised that giving Mignolet and Karius a chance, and having Lovren and Matiop as a first-choice CB pairing, or Moreno at left-back or whatever, was a colossal mistake, he does usually do something about it. And his faith in other players has very often been handsomely rewarded.

He will be a big miss. I'm still surprised city have bought a CB as I think they will miss Kompany's leadership. Stones, otemendi et al aren't the same without him. Just like our FB without VVD.
