Transfer rumours

Biggest club in your home country wants you, will pay you nicely and will let you start non-stop? I think it makes sense for him, but he'd unlikely to have left now had he been playing regularly the past year.

He's fucking class - I hope he struggles but he's fucking class.

Arsenal being linked with a two year loan for Rugani (Juve's next top CB) or Umtiti ... they sign him, and Tierney, with Pepe ... That's a fucking great summer for them.
Arsenal have had to scratch around to make deals- but they've definitely done good business. I've no idea how good this CB Saliba is– he'd need to be pretty fucking good to sort out their issues. Pepe, Auba and Lacazette gives some real depth and variety to their attack.

Dont think Saliba joins until next season.
Arsenal are still shite though, and are lacking at GK, defence and midfield.

Overpaying for Pepe wont change that. But they have definetly got some attacking power this season.

They will just defend by trying to outscore the others, just like we did a few seasons back

Can only hope that Sane doesn't go for big money - i quite like the position of City's net spend, would be annoying if £150m or whatever Sane should cost in this market came in.

Arsenal's summer is banking on Pepe being as good here as he was last season in Ligue 1, it's a big big gamble.

If he is then they have a frighteningly good front three. Tierney will help them tighten up the full back positions along with a fit Bellerin but their centre-backs are not good enough with their best one downing tools.

I can't see them getting top 4.

They're entering 'project mode' at a slow pace, which is dangerous when players like Aubamayang, Ozil, Lacazette, Koscielney, Sokratis, Mkhityrayn etc are all about 27-30 and mostly on the way down. By the time some of these newbies are approaching better years, they'll have to focus on replacing a host of players on top of finding potential talent. Hard one to balance and I think they're doing a shite job of it. Lots of faith and hope being placed on the likes of Iwobi, Nelson, Maitland-Niles & Holding.

I know you think Leno is shit, and he made a few blunders last year, but overall - he was really good for them. He's right below the top echelon imo (Becker, De Gea etc).

I've seen limited to make me think that he is that level. Some great shot stopping, but there are tons of keepers who are great shot stoppers. He doesn't appear to own the penalty area or control the defence in front of him, which is what sets a good shot stopper apart from a great goalkeeper.

Nah, he’s not up there. Maybe he’ll develop further this season, but so far he’s been decent, conceded 51 goals and was liability in several games for them.

I can just imagine the scrap there's going to be every time Arsenal are awarded a penalty 😀

We’ve sold Melwood to Torus for 10 mill £.
Thats the most intersting transfer news we’ll see for the rest of the window I reckon..

Hopefully not. Condors go for dead stuff.

On a more serious note, Dybala's a fine player, but do we need him?

Not sure what's gone on with Dybala, but they've had successive managers and the club try and push him out with no takers. They've tried to whore him out all summer and no one has been interested, even at 50mill at one point. It's gotta be bad if they're willing to swap him even for Lukakau. Not sure what's gone on, but he used to be good, was a bit iffy last season although he got plenty of games, and now no one will touch him.

Heaton’s gone to Villa. I guess Ming is staying?
FUCK FUCK FUCK.
Also, looks like we bid £70m for Pepe, the twat wanted to go Arsenal probably because they're giving his agent a massive wad. We got £70m which should be enough to get Van De Beek or Hakim or Werner

We didn't bid 70M for Pepe.

This was discussed on the Echo podcast, and the consensus was while he was a good player, their style of play doesn't really accommodate a no. 10, hence they want rid

Those Lovren to Italy rumours wont die. I think he might be around for the start of the season.
