Depends to some extent on how you define the role. Players wearing the no.9 certainly can be, Bobby being a prime example.
I quite like him. Good player who went to a sh1t club playing third rate football. Same thing for Sarr. You occasionally get to shine but mostly you are fighting against relegation.

It is clear with that Klopp has been trying to add more creativity or penetration from midfield for some time now, with Ox, Keita and Thiago coming in but doing little to dispel the notion that our midfield consists of little more than work horses. At one point, I was hopeful that Curtis would take up the challenge, but he has appeared too indulgent of himself and hasn't kicked on. I'm convinced that we would have done the quadruple this year if we had a Bernardo or Ox (pre-Roma injury) instead of Keita.

I also like him. I don't think he has the pace to be a Mane replacement. But he is an interesting prospect.
