Just watched the Celtic v Leverkusen game, mainly to get a look at Florian Wirtz the new wunderkind of the Bundesliga. He did not disappoint. Scored one and was dangerous throughout.
18 years old, playing in an attacking centre midfield role. Hes quick strong, very neat dribbler with an eye for a defence splitting pass. 4 goals and 4 assists from 5 league games this season.
We should be going all in on this kid, buy him and let him stay in Leverkusen for a year if that's what it takes. These are the sort of players we have to get before they make their first big move, or we are priced out.

Nope. They'll put it to the players and they'll choose Virgil.
Maybe Virgil will be moved in when Konate becomes the alpha. It could be the same time as Hendo goes.
Personally yes, just cos I can't see it happening for another two or three years yet, and I think having a local lad as captain is a big thing in itself considering the ambassadorial side of the role.
Aren't Virgil and Hendo about the same age?
