Because most cunts in here are too lazy to start threads. So they throw in something vaguely relevant to the title.

Some mod did change the title though - which I don't agree with at all.

When I saw this had become a rumours thread I shut the other one done

Rightho.

Sportsmail's Alex Kay reports: 'Hearing that Valencia have failed in a bid to sign Liverpool forward Iago Aspas. He has barely played for the Reds - to think I put him in my fantasy team at the start of the season - but Brendan Rodgers has said no.'

Lewis Holtby's agent Markus Noack, speaking to BBC Sport: "Fulham have put much effort into Lewis. It is a very well-run club with an excellent manager in Rene Meulensteen. The system and philosophy, how Fulham play fits well with Lewis. He will have match practice in the second half of the season in his favourite position and then we'll see how things are going by summer. A return to the Bundesliga has been shattered due to circumstances we couldn't control."

General blank looks and even bafflement at Anfield over rumours that Konoplyanka is preparing to board a plane to England, so it seems the deal isn't as advanced as Ukrainian media outlets would suggest.

Unofficial eastern European twitter feeds jumping the gun and proving wide of the mark? Who'd have thought it?!

Liverpool believe a deal can still be done for the winger, but rate their chances as no better than 50-50 at this moment in time, so perhaps he's not collecting the boarding card just yet. And as we suggested earlier, it seems we may still be here at 11pm, waiting to see if they finally get the deal over the line.....

Where are you getting this info from, James? Also, 'over the line'? is that a piss take or serious. Unsure.

i hope we dont have all our eggs in the konobasket.

Hoping we get some CM reinforcements.

And so endeth the short Arsenal career of gobby Gooner Emmanuel Frimpong, who has buggered off to Barnsley.

Echo: "If a fee is agreed over the coming hours then the 24-year-old winger will undergo his medical and sign a contract in Ukraine. Time constraints mean it simply wouldn't be possible to get it done if he flew to the UK."

"Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Sweden midfielder Kim Kallstrom on loan from Russian club Spartak Moscow until the end of the season

That is a bit of a blast from the past. Is it the same guy we were constantly linked to in Houllier days?

Porto have announced their squad for their next Primeira Liga game away at Madeira on Saturday, and it makes interesting reading.

It could be a case of good news and bad news for Manchester City, with Eliaquim Mangala named in the travelling party while fellow target Fernando is ruled out, apparently with a muscle injury.

Tim Sherwood says there is a "0%" chance of Spurs making any signings today

Sunderland's training ground, John O'Shea just drove out of the car-park, rolled down his window and shouted "WES BROWN TO REAL MADRID!" Presumably the staff at the Bernabeu are assembling the stage for his presentation as I type.

[article=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2548397/Transfer-deadline-day-January-2014.html#ixzz2ryzvgpEr ]'Inter, it is you who put me up for sale without asking me,' Guarin tweeted.

'I was feeling calm and good at the club. I want clarity and respect - for me, my agent and the supporters.

'For the fans, I just want to thank you because you have been affectionate and respectful towards me and appreciated my work.

'If I have to leave, you will always be in my heart because at Inter I made a dream come true. If I remain, I will use all my power and all my heart to help Inter win.'[/article]

I'd love to see transfer windows treated more like christmas day present opening, no paper talk, gossip or talk of bids. Everything normal until an email is sent at 11pm deadline day to each fan, then you get to open it and read who you signed and sold:

In
Konoplyanka

Out
McLaughlin (loan)

The only problem with that is United fans would be made up with Mata.

Newcastle incur fans’ wrath by asking for Derby memories on Deadline Day.

Sportsmail's Sami Mokbel reports: 'Interesting one here, Manchester City have rejected a loan offer from Liverpool for defender Micah Richards.
'With Glen Johnson struggling for fitness, Brendan Rodgers is looking at securing an experienced right-back.

'Richards' first team chances have been restricted due to the performances of Pablo Zabaleta. And Liverpool have tested the water with a cheeky loan offer.'

Fuck off Purslow you smegwipe.
He's talking about well functioning clubs here on SSN.
The irony is so much he's mouth and hands are in sync whilst he talks shit.

Poor old Vinny O'Connor, the bluenose who has 'Johnny Todd' as his ringtone, is always the one they send to stand outside Melwood. What a week for him.

He did - Many times. They were actually friendly when the cameras were off but when they we on (during pressers or post match interviews etc) He tore into him. Bloody funny it was.
