I read an article yesterday that Kenny vetoed any Cole to Spurs move and thats why he was negotiating with Lille. Seems that Villa are making a late bid for his services.

We accepted Bolton's bid but has N'gog negotiated? Kenny making a late splash for Cahill for 10M + N'gog and Sterling loan

A loan deal wasn't mentioned so I assume it is a straight sale under discussion.

Would be a good move for Joe IMO - it didn't work out for him at Anfield partly due to injuries, and he would be unlikely to get many games now our midfield options are so much better than they were last season.
 
Would be surprised if any Club signed Cole permanently. Far more likely to be a loan deal wherever he ends up.

Lille will be a better move for Joe Cole. CL footy and a very good chance at rebuilding his career there.

Yep, agreed. He can probably live in London aswell I reckon. I know Carew did that while playing for Villa.
