Deal is a six month loan deal for an initial fee, and after this period Liverpool are to pay in the region of €7m for the player should they wish to take up the option of a permanent move.

i hate his guts now. what hte fuck has he done? sold one of our best youngsters, and for no reason at all except his own cunting delluded imagination, he's put another fucking fat turd onto our wage bill. so that even if we are blessed with a new manager, he will be up to his neck in an endless stream of shit players that will take him five or six transfer windows to clear out. nice work bitch

The owners are keeping their funds so that they can give the maximum to the new coach. Babel wasn't sold because they new coach might like him.

You can be annoyed at him for being in the position of needing a January transfer market to deal with having insufficient forward options.

You can be annoyed at him for having no money in said window due to failing in Europe.

You can be annoyed at him for buying Babel and yet valuing him higher than his utility for us.

You can be annoyed at him for being a slimy bastard in his attempting to leverage against the owners with the Juve thing, all while he should be humbly trying to turn the ship around.

I don't really see the point at being annoyed at him for saying he was looking at options in January and didn't find any. The one transfer we wanted to make of interest seemed to involve all the dominos falling into place. We also seemed to be demanding cash up front while paying cash later in an initial loan deal. Surely those predictably abortive requirements have little to do with Rafa and everything to do with not having any available capital. Try as he might in those circumstances, very little was bound to happen. January isn't really the most active market. Trouble is, it's another fingers crossed run in in terms of having players remain injury free.
 
Can't believe there are people still thought that if we sold Babel, we're able to use the money received to fund other transfers.

Thought we've done that the other round, when we sold Dossena and Voronin.
