Pedantic Pat says Aldridge was signed around January (before Rush left), while Barnes and Beardsley came in the summer

Pedanticer Pat says there was no window in those days

Was thinking the same. Our star striker sold and Kenny turned us into the greatest attacking team I've ever seen. I don't think Kenny worries too much about the defence though. We grew old as a defence then - I'd like to have seen M'Vila bought instead of Adam. We do have plenty of young defensive prospects (Wilson, Kelly, Flanagan, Robinson, Coady, Wisdom). We're going to need them.
