Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I love it when Sheik gets all Churchillian. I can imagine him wording his posts while gazing out his living room window, into the middle distance, his left hand tucked into the opening of his waistcoat, his right holding his pipe.
'we will thump him in the stomach, we will thump him in the kidneys, we will kick him in the bollocks, we will break his fucking knees'

Well said Sheik, but we all lost a little innocence this weekend. I'm nearly 40 and I should know better. We move on, but it does hurt, although it's only a game!

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I cannot lie and say I'm 'happy' Torres is gone. I wanted him gone because the only way to turn around 20 years on a slippery slope is to have the whole squad, the manager and organization fighting together.

Torres didn't give 100% since his 1st season ... He scored goals because he was in a system which worked around his talents. He scored goals because on his day, he's one of the best in the world.

Given an option of Andy Carroll or Nandough of the last 2 years, I'd take Carroll. He's not as good of a striker - at least not yet, and he may never will be either - but he'll give 100% every game and fight for the badge. He may not be worth the price tag now, but I hope we look back on him the way Blackburn and Newcastle look back on the Alan Shearer when they spent big bucks on him.

Take care Torres - enjoy the 4-4-2, a system which never worked well for your talents - be it at Atleti, Liverpool or Spain. Enjoy being with a soulless club which will NEVER give you the adulation you earned here. Enjoy a club on the way down ... and I sincerely hope we pip Chelsea for 4th place, and if not - ensure next year's table shows Torres why he just gave up on the best thing he'll ever have in Club football. So long Nandough ...

Liverpool ( 53% )

Who the fuck voted Newcastle? Sure they get 27 mill £, but lose a fan favourite English striker who is 22 years old, and gets Carlton Cole or whoever. Mike Ashley will let them spend 10% of the transfer fee next summer anyhoo.

No Anelka in the deal then?
No. Good riddance. Too old.

I think we should forget about Torres now. Don't become obsessed with how well he may or may not be doing at the rent boys. LFC is what matters now.

Yep. The only Torres related news I want to see is us getting Chelsea done for tapping up.

We still havent given permission to Torres to speak to Chelsea.

How funny would it be if we didnt...
Yeah looks like we're just waiting for the Carroll move to be confirmed, it would be fucking ace though.

I was just thinking the same thing, he had better not put up anything resembling a goodbye to the fans. You fucked us all, lied to us, emotionally blackmailed us, tuck it between your legs and fuck off.
