Ah the old 'Torres isn't trying' myth.

Complete and utter bullshit.

Yep. I expect more on here, that's TalkSport BS.

Don't know if that's directed at the earlier posts, but I agree, all I was saying in reply to Spidey is that he hasn't been used like a cart horse this season, I think we've handled him fairly well in terms of fitness, he hasn't been overplayed or overworked.

I don't understand why anyone would want to sell one of the three world-class players we have.

How odd. And yet strangely unsurprising, given some of the fucking shite spouted on here about our best players present and past

Cos he doesn't put the effort in.

Says the Babel apologist Neil. Fuck me the irony.

Sorry, I should have said 'shite spouted about our best and worst players, past and present'

'Getting It Wrong, Every Time'

Oh boo, lets not dare to say anything against beloved Torres.

Do me a favour.

We can moan about his attitude all we want but you said selling him would be your first act. That is ridiculous. We don't sell our best players.

Talk of selling him was obviously a flippant statement. There are a *lot* of players that need to be shown the door long before Torres.

I have my doubts at this point, Portly.

Honestly if I brought LFC tomorrow, the first thing I'd do is sell Torres.

Bold words. Ha!

Not really. I stand by that, if *I* brought the club, I would sell him because I don't like his attitude, but that's me personally, and I'd be an interferring owner. But sorry to break it to you guys, I'm just short so I won't be buying us this time round.

I'm confused now. "Talk of selling him was obviously a flippant statement" yet now you stand by those words and you would sell him?

Ah don't mind me, i'm just busting your chops.

Dude, I'm talking about a dream world where I buy LFC, I would sell him. Suggesting for the new owners to sell him was flippant.

He dosnst have an attitude Anita, he's just severely lacking in confidence & it shows.

The first fifteen minutes of a game je looks aces. Then his fitness let's him down & he misses a chance ir gets beaten to a ball & his head goes down.

He'll back to his best.

I don't think we have an inside track on what Torres' attitude really is. Like many great strikers, he is going through a painful period of injuries and being off-form, the two being inextricably linked. If he looks a bit cheesed off, I don't think we should necessarily look for any deeper reasons than that.

That's your opinion Jon, that's not how I see it, and I'm not likely to change my mind at this point. I hate it when players aren't willing to fight for the cause, especially when the chips are down, and that's what I feel we get from Torres at the moment. I might be wrong, but that's where I am with him right now.

A lo of it is also linked with the players he's playing with every week.

It's clear that there's lot of top teams who'd love him in their squad.

I agree that he should buck up,but the defeatist attitude is hardly surprising.

Or uncommon.

Torres does have attitude problem, IMO.

It's one which is understandable given the support he receives from the midfield, and the promises which have been broken to him, but it does show on match day, and we're a worse side for it.
