Just seen it now. Bit bizarre.
Only saw that quick replay, but the first tackle looked like he wasnt the last man or red card warrantable. The second tackle seemed fine, but was in the area so would have been a pen.
There's no possible permutation that makes that error even remotely logical.

Poor backpass that Bony intersepted and ran clean through. Swabrick gave a red to McAuley, but Dawson fouled Bony.
Could be debated if a yellow would have been enough, but the ref got the rules on his side.

Yeah, I think he was the last man but McAuley was very close to the situation.
A yellow could have been given imho. But I've seen red cards given for this before.

What a silly shit club. They're firmly in my relegation wish list next season, together with Villa (if they survive this season) and West Ham, and Palace.
I liked Newcastle more when Nicky Butt played for them. He always allowed us a free pass in midfield and let us score at least three goals.
