Time for a ballsy prediction

Chelsea don't make top 4 is mine.

Is that ballsy? Not sure. See if you lot can better it.

Zlatan will be starting from the bench before the end of the season. Age catches up with him in a much stronger league.

It would seem likely that one of the "Big 4"- Chelsea, United, Arsenal, City - or is it now 5? Or 6? Anyway, one of the typically fancied sides, will have a horrible season.

Chelsea had theirs last year, so I'm not sure it will be repeated, and United won't struggle under Mourinho, but with all the additional hype around the new managers, plus the amount of money swilling about and increased quality of the clubs like Liverpool, West Ham, Spurs, Southampton who all fancy a crack at the Top 4, it's a decent shout that someone will have a shocker.

Be funny if it was Guardiola

Personally it would be even funnier if it was Jose

Yeah, I hate Guardiola and City, but United and Mourinho are obviously far worse

As for ballsy predictions, maybe another unlikely title challenger/ Top 4?

Although Ryan has already said West Ham, which would appear to be the favourite dark horse. Unless Luverpool count as a dark horse these days?

I'll go Liverpool then

I'd take that. What about Everton? Koeman is bound to improve them. If they keep lukaku they could certainly could push top 6

If they keep him and if his head's right, yes. That second bit's v.important IMO.

My contribution to this thread is that Marko Grujic will be one of the nominees for Young Player of the Season.

Considering I tipped Conte to get the boot this season, not really.

Lack of European football should help them like us, but I don't see them making it and as soon as they are out the title race he'll come under big pressure

Pogba to be a flop
Arse out of the top 4
We wont sign another left back
Benteke and Balotelli both stay

I'll go for those

Spurs will win the league.
That would be mine as well.

Also I am with @Ryan on the Chelsea prediction as well. Even Arsenal could drop out of top 4 imo mainly because of their manager and his lack of ideas when the shit hits the fan.

What about a Top 4 with us, Spurs, City and United. And Leicester.

No, I obv still don't have a clue, BRING ON THE NEW SEASON IT*S SO EXCITING!!

We will finish 8th again

That would be the sack for Klopp. He got away with it last year because he inherited the team from Rodgers with the season under way. Another finish outside the top 6 without any European distractions would be difficult to recover from. Kenny was sacked for finishing 8th, Rodgers for finishing 6th. Worse than 6th and hes gone. Rightly so

I don't think the Chelsea prediction is particularly ballsy.
They finished 10th last season and have only signed two players.

I'll go with Southampton to finish in the bottom 6.

He didn't "get away" with anything last season.

As for finishing 8th, if that happens he still won't get the sack.

And Rodgers didn't get sacked for finishing 6th. If that had been the case he wouldn't have started the following season as manager after spending £70m in the summer.

Agree with your Chelsea-comment, I even think Ryan does as well to be honest, why he changed it - and though I hope Højbjerg and a few of their other newcomers can once again step up immensely and surprise everyone it's not unlikely that S'oton will end in the bottom half of the table. Especially if they also lose Fonte.

So, maybe that's not a particular ballsy prediction either? I agree with it, and it's not what is expected, but it's not ballsy as they have been pushing well above their weight for years and once again they have lost all of their key members of the squad. They could be in for a tough one.
