Moving from AEK to Olympiacos is a big step, so if he can play often and score a few goals, then id be confident he will play again for us. If he doesnt make it there, then i guess thats it

The Liverpool captain said: "A few signings have been made to improve the team and I've been delighted.
"Hopefully there are also a few more signings to come in before the transfer window closes at the end of the month."

Hint Hint.

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson expects more signings to arrive before the summer transfer deadline falls.

With two weeks of the transfer window remaining, the gaffer is not ruling out more activity - and backed up Christian Purslow's suggestion that there could be 'one or two' new faces on top of Brad Jones.

Hodgson told liverpoolfc.tv: "The Brad Jones situation has been under control for some time so I think he was talking about adding one or two other players to the squad (on top of that).

"We need 25 players in our squad like everyone else. We need the 25 players to play Premier League, Europa League, FA Cup and Carling Cup. Arguably you wish you had a few more.

"Any player that leaves this club will have to be replaced. We aren't in a situation where we can just let players go without replacing them. That's if they are in our plans for the 25 man squad."

We've been linked with Konchesky for quite a while I think it might become a last minute thing.
Hopefully Hodgson is waiting for the Mascherano cash so we can buy a world class defender.

I wish there was such a thing as an available world class left back. City picked up prolly the best LB on the market, in some time, in Kolarov and he cost over double what our most expensive LB (pffft, and what a steal it turned out to be :/ ) ever cost 🙁

A.Madrid signed Felipe for 12M Euros... that should've been our deal.

Robinho to sign for Besiktas.

Seriously?

Jeez, we should be trying for this...they wouldnt sell of course but it's still worth a shot..I'm sure we'd present a far more attractive prospect to him.

Yep, although they have a pretty decent line up now. Guti, Quaresma, Robinho, Nihat, Delgado...
[/quote]

Ha! Damn!

A couple years ago, that lineup would've killed on FM.

They have succeeded in flogging Robinho and Bellamy to clubs that are not a danger.

Wouldn't it just? Shame about reality though.

I'm not sure, Avvy. He wanted to stay with Santos. I get the feeling that fundamentally he just wants to go home.

Real Madrid midfielders Lassana Diarra and Mahamadou Diarra are being offered to English clubs.

Marca says Real Madrid are ready to hawk their cast-offs to English suitors after building a squad Jose Mourinho believes can compete for La Liga and the Champions League this summer.

Former Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth midfielder Lassana Diarra has been linked to Liverpool, but Roy Hodgson has already signed Christian Poulsen in anticipation of Javier Mascherano's departure.

Manchester United were linked with Mahamadou Diarra in the winter and may still be in the market for a tough-tackling midfielder if the price is right.

could still be an option if mascherano leaves?

I hope so. Masher's departure will leave a huge gap, and Lassana Diarra's a very good player with a fair bit of Prem experience.

Spurs signing Diarra, Gallas, Pienaar & Hleb dependent on which paper you read.

Also, the guy from Brazil has just won the Copa Liberwhatever & turns up next week.

A reporter from The Telegraph is claiming that agents tried to arrange a swap deal with Mascher and Benzema.

Sounds like BS.

Unsettled Reds starlet wants out of Anfield

Homesick Liverpool starlet Dani Pacheco wants a move back to Spain.

The Spanish Under-19 star has told an agent to find him a La Liga club, with Levante leading the chase.

Reds boss Roy Hodgson gave the attacker a game in the Europa League qualifiers, but that has still not convinced the 19-year-old to stay.

Pacheco could move on loan with a view to a permanent transfer, as he looks to quit the Kop.

Bye Patches!!
